Hi. Are there any schematics available to tell me how to make my own colour correction modification?

There is I think an advanced version with a dedicated PCB and IC, or just a single crystal oscillator.

We dont use RGB in Australia. We just use composite.

It is 5000 series PS1 with a MM3, so if you know what crystal frequency I should use, I can go buy one and install it.

I am trying to run an NTSC-J game on a PAL system.

Also, anywhere can use RGB. Your answer is more like "I dont have anything RGB" I guess?

Also, this is the last time I google for something so stupidly easy to find for you.

    Thank you.

I have a TV with SCART, but I need to buy a MULTI-AV to SCART for PS1. Rather just buy a crystal and install that.

And I tried Google. I seriously did this time

Oh, the crystal needed is a 4.43mhz crystal oscillator if anyone has trouble finding that information...

You should buy the scart RGB lead imo - picture is far far better.

Cables are on UK ebay for like £3 too.

its just make stable tv mode. but not real correction if you got ntsc one you can't make pal by this method. cause you need also change osc and freq-generator.

in 550x models its additionally used external osc (4.43) or 17.734 with some kind if scheme, i dont what exactly. i cant make some pics.

H-360. if you really need . better we talk about in Skype)))

PS1 changes 50/60hz in software. The fix is for the colour carrier.

i meant the more difficult solution by installing a wire link or new oscillator etc. rather than just getting a cable

upto you about p&p mate but either way pm your address and will get one sent out to you over the weekend

Why bother? PS1 ready RGB cables are unbelievably common. A true marvel. Among the longest and most consistent globally supported gaming products ever devised.

Beating even SNES's long lived base design in consistency. That differed in pinout for PAL models, N64 didn't accept anywhere without mods, and was PAL only on Gamecube.

RCA connectors or similar don't count. Those have general purpose uses in multiple industries.

For a parts list that long, shipping alone (especially if from different vendors) will be more than the RGB cable...

jinn - you right, this is what i ment.

PS1 changes 50/60hz in software. The fix is for the colour carrier. - its for the FIXING color.

also it need change osc/generator . just compare board for NTSC and PAL region.

All these fixes do is override the NTSC/PAL selection input on the encoder. Oscillators, RGB cables etc are irrelevant--you already have the PAL colorburst oscillator in a PAL console, and RGB works entirely around the problem.
