    I used to have 30Mbps but the ISP said I don't need it and gave 100Mbps for the same price :O

    I pay $59 a month for 100Mbit cable Internet from the local ISP. I consistently see 80-90Mbit down and close to 20Mbit up.
    Next year it goes to $69 a month.

    Finally upgraded to 10Mbps Download / 1Mbps Upload. It has bandwidth throttling when reaching certain download totals but I gotta get what I can get. =(

    I used to have 300 up and down for $20 a month until I moved and they couldn't offer it in my building and in order for me to avoid two contracts they changed it to a mobile internet that cost more and was shite.

    here in new zealand my upload speed is
    download a file i get about 4.8 megabytes per second
    uploading a file i get about 1.1 megabytes per second

    After all this years I discovered you only need 5mb up, 5mb down and a ping around 10ms to have a first class first world connection. I have 50 because the one year contract special offer, but what I purchased was the 5 - 5.
