I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm bowled over by the presentation. Using Steve Merchant a voiceover artist was a flash of genius as it immediately taps into the mainstream success/effortless humour of the Ricky Gervais podcasts, and I think the developers nailed a tangible sense of loneliness and isolation that makes playing the game a distinctly odd, almost dreamlike experience. My opinion may change if I finish the game too quickly - but so far Portal 2 feels unlike any other game I've played in recent years, and should be celebrated for the unique atmosphere it creates.
I don't get it. I've beaten the game (single player, I mean) and I never heard that song. When does it play?
Supposedly, it's on a radio in a Rat Man hideout. I'm very tempted to play through it again just to find the turret choir practicing behind one of the panels!
Just started this tonight. Was irked that the ominous voice from the first one wasn't in it... then got to the end of Chapter 1, and was delighted.
