I bought myself a new toy.

 

Man I got one of those for video editing. You get the 17 or 15in?

 

It's a 15 incher with the 2.2 GHz C2D processor and the 128mb GeForce 8600.

Those look a lot like poor boots rather than originals. I doubt the reason they "didn't work" in the seller's system had anything to do with the region code.

X360 (duh.) sort of a xmas present
This one really supprised me as I had promissed myself to not get one. First thought when booting it up:
"What's that noise?!"
First thought when putting in a disc:
"What's THAT noise?!" O_O
And I thought the XBOX was bad when I got it..
Other than that I guess it's an ok machine but they seriously got to do semthing about that noise.

Next up:

Super Mario Galaxy (xmas gift), Citizen Kane, Back to the Future Triology, My neighbor Totoro

And finally:

800W 230V -> 110V converter. (xmas gift)

It's a bit better than with a PS3:

360 is noisy as hell!!! But it's better than a silent useless black box :110:

 

It doesn't appeal to everyone, but my useless black box found a purpose last week in the acquisition of 'Uncharted'. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I am enjoying it and the PS3 is being used. It isn't a crappy port, I don't give a monkeys about online gaming and I completed all the updates (as I wholly agree with that one, the updates are a bit of a pain) prior to playing.

Finally I am having fun with the PS3! h:

 

my new TV will be here at the end of the month so my useless black box will get some more use finally...

It's worth it if you can obtain one for a good price.

 

I don't think it is just yet ... by the time any of these AAA titles ever see the light of day they will surely have introduced a new SKU [maybe 120/160Gb?] at an equally reasonable price.

Anyways ... GT5 isn't out for ages! :lol:

 

to be honest i wait it mainly for bluray support and the odd game, plus BC with ps1/2 titles so will probably go for a ntsc unit, they usually sell for around the £200 mark so not hugely expensive i think
