You're the third person that tells me that Hellfire is very hard. I'm pretty sure it will kick my ass every single time that I play it. I'm not very good at this kind of games, but I love them.
I'm turning on my Mega Drive right now to play it.

Hell Fire is easy as long as you don't die. Die and you'll loose all your power-ups making the game a real bitch. That's when it becomes really hard. So hard it's time to reset and start again.

Bought some stuff from flabbergaster. In the mail ATM.

Original Xbox with light gun and game for it.
Super Joy 3 Famiclone. (Hope this one has the ROMs on a removable cart thingy versus built in like my current one...)
    Windows 95 laptop.

On another note, I finally found out why my Xbox memory card I got from another member here hadn't shown up for over a month now. It was sent to my old address for some weird reason...

Also bought a Sega DS-16 from a contact offsite. In the mail ATM me hopes...

Also got a replacement laptop LCD screen for my Dreamcast. Runs a Chinese VGA adapter through ANOTHER Chinese LCD screen adapter to a LG 150X08 (A3). Current screen works but is messed up on right side. Meh, it was only $20 shipped for the replacement...

It's nice and big at 15" and in 4:3 aspect ratio. Can display up to 1024x768 on VGA. Working part of screen is perfect in displaying the games. May make a case to hold it and my console with a 12V battey.

    Hmmmm...

windows 95 laptop haha oldschool, my 1st real PC not counting commodore / amstrad was a windows 95 machine is there anything specific you're planning to use it for?

on hellfire @Yakumo i agree, but its the avoiding death part that i find hard, although i tend to be my own worst enemy and fly into things. love scrolling shooters but i guess i suck at them, at least these days i do :) i got my fingers crossed some stuff will arrive today in the post its 5am now and postman normally shows up at 9am ish

Older stuff that needs Windows 95/ 98 to run as well as serial and parallel ports.
I do have a P4 machine with those ports but I have Windows 7 Ultimate running on it so some sowtware won't work well like the Dex Drive memory card system for N64. It's serial based.

Think we can still enter? LOL ;P

    Recently bought:

    - Sweet Home Famicom (Almost Mint!) - £30 eBay
    - Sweet Home NES (Reproduction Cart, English Translation) - £15 Gamereproductions.com

Really impressed with the reproduction cart, the sticker looks official! The cart got slightly dented in the post though! :mad-new:

Yup, well it's pretty much rebuilt. Only 5 issues to go and I have a complete near mint collection, my last collection was missing about 20 copies and was in varying condition.

Got all of the main issues, just need 4 poster mags and an Eternal Champions special and it's done.

Spent 3 hours this afternoon bagging and boarding all of my copies.

It's very different, arguably better story wise. The internal artwork is better too but I prefer the US cover art and classic comic size. I have the beginnings of a US collection too and I'm buying what I can find on eBay UK in dribs and drabs with any spare cash I have.

I remember buying Sonic the Comic from Morrisons whenever I got the chance. I'm pretty sure I had a big Eternal Champions pullout poster in one issue and there was some megadrive looking robot guy on the letters page for the competitions and stuff. I never held onto any of my issues and a lot of my possessions were chucked during a house move a decade ago though. I haven't picked up an issue since. Are they still worth a read?

Hard question for me to answer as I know them all off by heart and even though they're for kids I still enjoy going through them all. Not sure how I'd react to them if this was the first time I'd ever been exposed.

The first 50 issues are great just for the game reviews and previews, there's some interesting beta stuff in there and it's nice to read articles which get excited about the industry at the time it was all happening.

Issues 50 to 100 are great to view for the artwork and the story running up to issue 100 is quite cool.

After issue 100 it all gets a bit weird and the artwork takes a bit of a strange turn for a while and then just when it starts to pick up again it turns into re-runs :-(

Borderlands 2 DLC Season Pass @ £19.99 via Steam

I also bought another one as a gift for the co-op partner who bought me the base game + Mechromancer pack.

I certainly feel I overpaid compared to my usual sales prices but I am enjoying the game, levelled up 2 characters to 50 and running out of things to do other than level more characters, which I'm not in the mood for right now.

On the plus side there are 2 expansions out already and another 2 to follow and it was half the price of Battlefield 3 Premium.

On the downside I only just finished settling off a chunk of debt and I've got another chunk to go so this purchase will delay me getting back in the black ASAP but hopefully it will be worth it.
