He's not obligated to post how much he got it for. The fact that he got that many units is in itself a steal.

At Good Will yesterday, I found a RCA Dimensia with a SCART port on the back for 99cents. I've been searching for 3 years at thrifts stores to find one of these.:congratulatory:

Been 12 months now but I picked up a 15.4" Acer Laptop i5 2.27ghz, 8gb RAM, Radeon HD5470 GPU, for AU$40. Was practically brand new, bought it from Officeworks, (big retailer nationally in AU). It was a customer return labelled as "not working". Took out 1 RAM module, replaced it (AU$10, but i already had a spare) and boots like a dream :)

The guy even gave me a spare battery and a spare charger.

Bought a Gran Turismo 4 First Preview Demo for ¥ 1 !!! Just because auction's name was "Gran Turisno 4" instead of "Gran Turismo 4".
So don't forget to search for lots with a bit incorrect names. :smile-new:

http://fatfingers.com/ is your friend. It searches eBay and finds items spelling errors.

You lucky lucky lucky man!!! I've been looking for an Ultra 64 board for a long time now and I'm sooo sooo jealous of you even finding one, let alone at such an incredible price! Well done and enjoy it!

Yeah, I was very lucky this time, the auction was only made 15min before I bought it. But I think it only arrived one time per year in the best case....

Unclejun : This is my SGI desk, the only non SGI machine (apart my laptop) is this RISC PC600. It's a classic config, ARM6 at 30mhz, 32mb of ram, 4Gb Compact flash to replace to old HDD (pretty fast loading..), but I have the 2Mb VRAM upgrade so I can use my LCD at 1024x768 256color or more. It also have an Ethernet card and an Eagle M2 video/audio digitizer board. I use RiscOS 3.6. I plan to add a Strong Arm processor sooner and maybe a 486 PC card.

I recently got Pocket Reversi (NGPC) for $3 loose. It seems to be one of the rarer games on the system

    :D

    The U64 board is inside my second Indy. It's a R4400 175Mhz / XL24 with 128Mb ram running Irix 5.3. I have a R5000 machine but I was unable to find my Irix 5.3 for R5000 Processor install CD's....

If I remember correctly, early Irix release have some basic things / concept that come from old Risc/OS distribution.

The 486 card (586, 386 or Cirix model exist) is a small board for the Acorn RISC PC to run MS Dos, Windows 3.1 and 95 software and OS. The board have a PC processor etc...

I have a two slices RiscPC with a StrongArm 200MHz and an IBM 5x86 card (the ACA57), running RiscOs 4.39.
Bought recently a RiscOS 6i disc, but haven't had the time to mess with it yet.
    No Vram upgrade though... :(
Also have an Acorn 7000 lying in a box, crushed by the weight of an Alpha 433u.
I have a thing for computers with x86 compatibility cards (Acorn, Apple, Sun).
Jackhead, you're confusing RiscOS with IRIX.

    Forgot about this one.....

A while ago an electronics store over here in Australia, Dick Smith had a big gaming sale...

    All new stuff

    I got a DSi-XL for $40
    Red Dead Redemption $3.50 (PS3)
    Brutal Legends $5 (PS3)
XBOX360 MW3 320gb edition for $300 (retail was around $500 at the time) replaced my launch console which I gave to my nephew, so I suppose he scored well too.
    Deus EX for $10 a

and a few other $5-10 games as well.

Dunno if this counts, but I think it's at least a nice bargain that I got this morning. I set my alarm clock at 4:45 for it although I just went to sleep at 3:45... ~_~

+ loose Hardware (AV Famicom, oldschool lightgun, yellow Hudson joystick, trackball, the two Hyper Olympics controllers)

    29 games & hardware for a mere 18500yen ($240).

    Games include

Donkey Kong JR no Sansuu Asobi (looks like it's in fairly good condition?)
    raf World
    Meta Fight
    Metal Storm
    Argos no Senshi
    Super Arabian
    1942 & 1943
    Gomokunarabe (Ginhako/silverbox edition)
    Duck Hunt/Wild Gunman/Hogan's Alley
    Rainbow Islands

The rare games by IREM/Sunsoft/Nintendo look all like they are in pretty neat condition, and I've been on the lookout for a boxed DKJ Math (Sansuu Asobi) for AGES. The last one I saw in similar boxed condition went for 6500yen over a year ago... and considering I just bought a Popeye's English Asobi, it fits in the picture.

Man, I never thought I'd get so many of my most-wanted at once, lol. Metal Storm, Meta Fight, Raf World and DKJ Math have been on my Must-Buy-List for around 2 years, no kidding. O_O
