Ah, I see. Nope. The console socket it just fine. I checked all the points to make sure there was no solder joints damaged. This is an odd case but I'm happy things have worked out.

Small random find. About $4 used for Mardock Scramble The Second Combustion (blu ray).

A few 360 titles this month. I'm a bit pissed off though about Duck Tales. I was told by the store it was region free. Is it bollocks. It doesn't play on a Japanese 360 at all. Still, At least Donpachi Saidaidujou and Triangle Services Shooting Love Collection kick ass. well, actually the 360 mode on Donpachi is annoying due to all the stupid lolita anime girls yapping on and on and on. Thank God the normal Arcade mode with HD graphics is included. Over all a fantastic game.

@Yakumo Are there actually any games for the 360 that are region free? I thought the whole deal with that console was the entire library being locked, and no way to unlock the conslle and/or remove region lock from game ISO's?

Hmm, seems to be a mixed bag. Then I definitely prefer the PS3, for numerous other reasons too, but I've never come across a region locked game yet. I know there are a few, but to my knowledge, it literally is a few.

Yeah, Sony did nail that last gen. No excuse for region lock these days. Seems to be region free this gen, bar the odd hiccup!

Yeah, I should have checked the lists. With the store saying it was region free though I just went ahead and bought it. Nobs! I wouldn't mind but it would cost more to send it back to American than it's worth. Looks like I'll play it when I finally mod my 360 when it's no longer going to be used online some time in the future. I normally buy asian imports as they're the same region as Japan but it looks like Duck Tales wasn't released on disc in Asia and not at all in Japan.

Exactly :) I actually owned three 360's at one point, one modded, and two others. I ended up disconnecting them all, as I didn't find them to offer anything I couldn't get on my PS3's. Their exclusives, at least that I know of, didn't appeal to me, so no real reason to keep two parallel platforms, to play the same games.

The only thing the 360 offers here in Scandinavia, that PS3 currently doesn't, is access to HBO Nordic. But I can live without it, IMO it's their loss, when they provide a platform, but no playouts for it. They only support 360 and Samsung Smart Hub, that's half hearted if you ask me.

I haven't posted anything in this section for a long while... Finally found something I have been after for a long while: A PC-FX SCSI adapter, probably not the most exciting thing in the world. I shall be experimenting with it over the summer, though:) Not my picture but until I receive the item and had a chance to take some that should suffice. Price was quite reasonable given its scarcity :)

Supposedly it does, I need to re-visit my programming book and the SDK, I think I saw something about that. That would be really cool if it did. If not it would still sit proudly in the weird section of my collection ;)
