Two more games added and finally got the DNS change sorted properly - though the hit counter was reset in the changeover and now stands at a pitiful "2"

 

Changed the look to my systems pages yet again. One day I will get it perfect.

I may *NEVER* get to update Japanese Gaming. Well, at least I'll have more time to play games.

 

I always wondered why you botherd hosting your site with Gaming what ever, since they servers go down too often and they sometimes stick whopping adds on the site. Move over to Brinkster like me. Price is good and service is top notch.

They are banning CGI. They should ban the users who wrote bad CGI scripts. They will write PHP scripts as bad as CGI

B/c I get unlimited bandwidth and space for free... which is biting me in the ass. Since it's free hosting, I get basically zero support. I just gotta wait for them.

The reason their sites go down so much is b/c of an attack recently. Before that, they had a very good record. The ads... well... Gamespy just merged with IGN a year or so ago, so...

HUGE update!

I updated the 403 error to a nice page explaining WTF has happened to Japanese Gaming over the last two months. I now have my FTP password back so can begin pissing away 6 months worth of work and do it in PHP, instead of Perl. I should be done in a year or so, as I'm not that excited about it.

The data is in a database, and has been for a while. It's the requirement to learn php that's going to take a while.... added to my enthusiasm and whatnot just delays it.

Anyways, I read a few PHP for morons pages and it's pretty much Perl with a few syntax changes. In fact, it's so much like Perl, I'm wondering WTF they even made it.

no new updates for a while... I've got to find a new hosting company becasue this is like the 7th month I've gone over bandwidth. Sucks, becasue I was going to start having screen shots, game reviews, etc.
