Does anyone else have this? The game is fantastic and the demo is very well done. It even includes multiplayer which is very fun. Id like to play some matches with you guys!

Do you mean the Xbox 360 demo? I was actually wondering about that. I read somewhere that it was supposed to be released on June 22, but I just looked and it's not there. What the hell is up with that?

That demo is sweet. Im suprised how well coded this game is. I think it looks better then fear but dosent tax the system as hard.

It runs awsome on my 6800 Ultra. I havent really tried the multiplayer yet but I hope to soon.

I got the demo but I'll be waiting until tommorrow to try it, hope it's great, 3d realms really should be able to do something. If it's good there may be hope for Duke himself yet.

Yep, for a few hours anyway. When you can get into a decent game without people lagging out the whole match, its really a lot of fun.

it is the faith of irony, since Prey was made as a quake beater, and now it is using the graphics engine that was used in Quake 4 ;-)

    And Doom 3 of course.

I find the audiovisuals in this game to be awesome. I thought it reminded me a lot of Doom3, and then I read somewhere it's based on that engine, at least a bit.

What I don't get is the fact that it runs like crap on my machine, and I thought I was running a decent one.

    Athlon64 3000+, 256MB NVidia GeForce FX5700, 1024 MB RAM.
Only way I got to 30-ish fps was by setting the resolution to 640 x480 and texture detail to medium.

Still looked awesome in those settings, though.

    I want this game.

Thats your problem. I have a X2 4800+, 7800 GT, and 2048 MB ram and I get anywhere from 60 (capped) to 45 with 4x AA.

on my athlon xp 3000+ with 2gig ram and x850 xt pe it runs quite fast even in 1600x1200 with high details but i dont use antialiasing
only thing i which they would support higher resolutions instead of the stretched 1600x1200 since my lcd runs 1920x1200 as natural res

i am not so much into the single player modes these days more a massive shooter fan so the rudimentary multiplayer mode in prey isnt very much apealing to me =(

NVidia GeForce FX5700 <--- and there is your problem, that card can't handle it. Get yourself a GF6600GT or higher or an equal ati and you'll have great game performance. It runs smoohtly at medium setting @ 1024x768 for me and i'm running an XP3000+ 1024 megs of ram and a 128 meg GF6600GT
