From both his posts, Juste seems to imply that he remembers this cart sold the last time it was on eBay (and to someone on this forum), however from reading the auction, that does not seem to be the case, and the seller does not have any reason to picture the cart and then send something else. Nor does it appear that the ROM is available, certainly I am not aware of it, and the seller also states this in the auction. Juste, if you have solid info to the contrary, let us know!
As for it being in english, didn't the japanese version of of bloodlines also use complete english except the title screen?
The ROM is not available yet. I cannot make it otherwise, not just yet. But other people with it can. It's just, when another copy is found, the other people that have it suddenly decide to release it, maybe in fear of somebody else doing it first, though they might of had the ROM for 1-2 years before doing so. I have seen it happen a few times, including from the person that has a ROM of it also. Imagine if a person bought it today for the price of £2000, but then 2-3 days after that the ROM already backed up is released. I'd feel really bad for that person if that happened, and so couldn't do something like that, but other people will. I think it did sell before, but seller seems to suggest not, and again uses same picture. I asked seller about this and to check if same version as ROM (because of using the same picture) but said they will not change it and any new ones will not be added. I replied to this, but I haven't got one back yet.
This is an incredible find! Maybe we should approach him and do a private, community auction here? 2000 for one person is a lot, but for a lot of people...
£2000 is a lot for a lot of people too because on a group buy the ROM has to be dumped so that everyone who's bid has access to it thus rendering the cart virtually worthless as has been pointed out before. Even if it was half the asking price it's still too much for a community to buy only to dump it and diminish its worth. This is one of those rare occasions where it's better off in the hands of one person, that way if it gets dumped, all well and good but if not, well, nobody's lost anything and the item retains its value. Plus, if everyone chips in the same amount of cash, who gets to keep the cart?
sell the original to a collector (at an obviously reduced price once dumped) and equally split that to all the donators.
As much as I would have liked seeing it, as long as it was at that price there was no chance, just no chance :/ No individual that bought it is likely to dump it after having spent that price either. We're basically screwed for this one unless the price went to something more reasonable in the hundreds, not beyond 1000.
