I still wonder what triangle does. Seems like an odd pose they didn't finish the functionality for.

Select freezes the camera, btw. It's a nice effect I remember seeing used to take screenshots in old magazine previews. I'll have to look for that scan again. In the meantime I found this, which I'm sure some might remember seeing.

Maybe someday we'll see a build with that snowboard in it.

Was that ever even confirmed to have entered development? I think it was only in the conceptual stage.

Croc 2 didn't live up to the first one for me at all, so I don't really care about a Croc 3 personally. I bet if it happened he woulda gotten a redesign that makes him look more hip and mean. Like what happened with poor Spyro, r.i.p.

Yep, RIP spyro. The new games are god awful.
Anyways, yea according to Unseen 64, one of their recent podcasts and post was that they got into contact with a legit argonaunt developer and he revealed some croc 3 info.

Anyways using that tool, I just noticed 99% of the music In the 1997 proto was never in the final game.

Well, all the music in the 97 proto is mostly just earlier mixes of the final music. Not completely unused :) My music pack makes this more obvious, I'll try putting that up tomorrow.

Gotta go to bed. Hopefully more Croc fans come in =p

Croc 3 wasn't nearly as far in development as you seem to be thinking though, not while it was at Argonaut anyway.

Oh, really? I've only ever played Croc 2 and I remember enjoying it a lot. Eager to play the first someday! (especially since there's the protos to explore now)

    Hip & mean Croc. XD

Hmm, will be very interesting to see if ccrogers gets ahold of anything.

Thanks again! Incredible how you keep putting the Dreamcast betas out.

He told me He got into contact with Jez San, the founder of the croc developer and he said absolutely no to the leak because zenimax with asap post C&D orders. Not to mention Me and a few others just got hit with one today over the croc prototypes. They even shut down a croc forum who were circling the links.

So, no croc 3 at all for us at this time. Sorry.

Are you saying you told the Argonaut employee about the Croc protos?

See, that was you're mistake =p I already said in PM but discretion is key. The people behind that Croc forum that were teasing these protos is the whole reason all of this happened to begin with. if you don't want people to mess with you, it's best to keep things quiet.

I'd recommend anyone DLing the Croc links now as I'll be deleting them soon, just to avoid any trouble. I actually abide any real requests from copyright owners rather than that forum who had zero to do with..well, anything :)

No, He has no idea. He must just of found out from other croc devs or maybe was a croc forum lurker. For all we know he could be here.

But anyways, yea its a good idea since Zenimax is trying to enforce it. I sent my letter out via fax and did my part by removing the content. So im ok, but as for anything else they find, and for their forum, well... lol

This may sound stupid but somehow I think my OS is too old to download the files put up on Mega. I've downloaded the latest flash version available but apparently Adobe stopped updating for Mac OS 10.5 so I can't download these...

The Croc & Crash Bandicoot prototypes interest me though. Is there any way to upload them somewhere else ?

Firstly, you never got the beta 0.12 or the tech demo. My friend and I did and we have the original CD-Roms too. And if you did you would know you have completely dishonored a developer of the game by publicly releasing these things. Honestly the people on this forum are dodgy and liars to boot.

You are a real smart arse, you don't know what the developer told us so you can't claim to abide by real requests from copyright owners especially when you don't know any of the facts and are making wrong assumptions about everything about the community you are discussing.

We did everything we could to abide the requests without breaking the law in order to share the content as was wished originally. We did what was right, you guys are just a bunch of criminals.

Eh if they don't have the rights to the game anymore, the best a former developer can do is hold off a lawyer by talking to people in charge. Even the things I receive with developer support is a gray zone, since most no longer hold the license to distribute the content.

Just wanted to say that this thread is a great idea for tracking the releases as they appear! :smile-new:
Don't know how I didn't stumble upon it sooner!
