$250-$350 depend on how many days that activation still remains. You can sell it for much higher if you can provide the buyer something like 1 year of activation guarantee.

LOL... I never seen PS Vita Testing Kit! but think you may sell this unit for MIN. price € 400 EUR. ($ 500/600 USD) for Collectable Price.
F*ck the activation... can be patched! :D and I know people what do that.

Not everyone owns a team that can patch activation like yours man. I think you will make big bucks by offering those services

LOL, same thing here! and can be done also on PS4 TEST Kit (Note: is not my picture, friend who worked on that sent me this one)
Btw, finally someone has realized that people need to work on these activation keys if need to do something with the New Generation DEV/Test kits! :D

Note: Can be patched for a lifetime use.

The question is whether the units indeed stay activated after the regular 90 days have passed or whether the patch applied here merely messes with the display of the expiration date. I have the feeling it's the latter.

What does 'Expire Date' mean? vitadevwiki says it's the number of days since activation. If that's indeed the case, activation has technically expired for both units, yet they don't display the "This unit has expired" overlay. I hardly believe Sony doesn't do an overflow check...

What can even be done with a Vita Testing kit? And is it like previous gen Sony dev kits where there's a Test kit then a Tool kit with more capabilities?

    I'll shut up then. LOL.

looks like there is no need for indie to register with DEVNET anymore. Now I know where all the UBI equipment went :D

Interesting if the expiration is really cracked but I have a feeling that the value won't be high for these. It's only a PTEL (not a dev) and vita market is dying so now that they aren't a total paper weight we will see more on the market.

Kind of sad the vita failed, the Vita was a joy to work on.

More like a Ps2 test, less like ps3 test. It can run packaged apps but no debugging (since it lacks the dev USB port).

Id like one for the HDMI out, but at this point a Vita capture mod would be a better choice.

It was a birthday present so, great to find out it's uses. Thanks everyone!
If anyone's interested in it for collectible purposes really, PM me.
You'd probably have more use for it than I do.

Are you sure? Some time ago some indie developer published a bunch of photos of kits he received from Sony via their devkit loaning program, namely a DUH-T1000AA, a DECH-4000A and a PTEL-2004. I don't see why they would loan a unit that doesn't support debugging. Granted, it's possible that he also received a PDEL and didn't make a photo of it, but then why would Sony loan a PDEL and a PTEL to an indie developer?

Unless it improved, it was kind of ass imo. Too bad the Vita TV failed as it's output is a bit nicer.

What an odd thing to get as a bday gift (sorry really does not make any sense).

Yes. I worked on a vita/ps3 game (I did all the backend work). Most likely he had a Vita kit before and was loaned the PTEL later. There isn't much use for PTEL other then showing off builds publicly (not sure if it changed but before you weren't suppose/allowed to use devkits for events).

Honestly it is worth no more then maybe $250 - $300. Keep in mind the damn thing costs $200 from SCE.
