Tried USB3 64GB "Patriot Rage Supersonic"

Yes, I've tried the very large 64GB and work fine with POPStarter.AlGollan84.

Flash drives by KINGSTON don't properly work with the PS2. Keep using it and you will even end with data corruption if you try to write to the USB stick.

I dont think so, i use a 8 gb kingston data traveler and it works just fine with popstarter, even better than other USB unitys, the cause of the problem may be that after the USB unity is more than 90 per cent full, there is a high chance it would not work properly.

Ok keep using it then BUT DON'T LET any important files on it.

I said that the problem is writing to it. But ok you didn't read what I wrote really.

The bug is on the homebrewn USB driver.

Doom series are too slow on popstarter, does anyone knows the solution?

I was having exactly the same problem and it looks like you found the cause. I have made my PS1 images at various times with different programs, so I just pick one that converted fine and use the format of that cue file to fix games that previously crashed cue2pops.
Thanks very much for posting - now I have Power Shovel working perfectly in POPS from usb!

    - When I found Popstarter R13 WIP1: I will test if it support USB, nice GUI....
    - WIP2: I will test when it support SMB games, support .bin, .iso files ... it has tool for combine multi game disc....
    - Toolbox support combine multi game disc: I want it has GUI...
-> I have no time for test.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and POPS, and I've got a few questions: I've been trying to set up Popstarter over smb, running games via the OPL apps screen. Has anyone got this to work? I found mention of it on another forum and tried following their setup, but I always end up back at the memory card screen. Assuming it is possible, will I be following the instructions for USB or HDD, or something else? I've tried various combinations of these setups, but with no variation in the result. Either way, I'm loving the speed of this emulator over usb, and thanks everyone for the work put into it. I'm patiently waiting to be granted access to the compatability list, so I can get an idea of what games are worth trying (and most importantly, which compatability modes work for what!) All I have to go on right now is the old list thats not private, but if nobody has tried it yet, C&C Red Alert Retaliation (Allies disc) seemed to work perfectly... except I can't seem to build anything except power plants, as all the other options are greyed out. I will try out the Soviet disc, and perhaps if I can find it, the original Red Alert to see if it has the same problem :)

    Check this out.

It's not possible run games off SMB with Popstarter, at least for now.

hmmisdata you can run Popstarter via OPL but games still must be on USB or PS2 HDD (games will be shown in APPS section), for now there is no way tu run POPS using SMB method. Maybe someday someone will make SMB version like USB version but i think it's almost impossible (but i hope it will be possible to be done)

As i remember i tested tiberian dawn and red alert on old POPS USB (didn't test it on popstarter USB) and both worked perfectly (i could build everything), i don't remember if i was testing retalation but i can do it today, then i'll tell you if it's working ok or not.

I have already tried C&C Red Alert Retaliation and it works perfectly. You have to build enough power plants to supply sufficient electricity to build other things, right?

oh one question hmmisdata, are you pressing circle on power plant to expand other buildings? for me it's working perfectly. In red alert and retaliation you have segregated categories (in order you have: allied building factory, soviet building factory, vehicle factory, infantry training facility, sea unit factory, aircraft factory, special weapons and curved arrow is for selecting more super weapons) to enter each category you must press circle (when you press x on main category it will build last built unit/building) to expand for more options (of course you have build specific building to have other categories activated)

Oui, c'est exact, il faut que les lanceurs qui ont les noms de vos jeux apparaissent dans la liste APPS (Application) de OPL mais aussi que USB et APPS soient en Auto dans les préférences de OPL sinon, pas de démarrage.

Yes, that's right, we need pitchers who have the names of your games appear in the APPS list (Application) for OPL but also USB and APPS are in Auto in preferences OPL otherwise not start.

    Kind regards.

Non, car les jeux PS2 sont affichés après le SCAN des périphériques USB ou des Disques Durs internes (IDE ou SATA). Une fois affichés, vous pouvez les choisir et les lancer.

No, because PS2 games are displayed after the SCAN USB devices or internal Hard Drives (IDE or SATA). Once displayed, you can select and launch.

    Tchao.

Ah, damn, my mistake. I was trying to get this game working for a friend, and have only really played it on the PC back in the day. I'm glad its working now though. I really wish whoever runs the compatability list would grant me access to it... what good is making a list if nobody is allowed to see it ;) Can anyone provide me with information on how to combine multi-disc games? I see it mentioned in the post in this thread about toolbox.exe, but I gather that it requires other software, what is it? Thanks. edit: Well, after reading the thread more throughly I've figured out how to merge multi-disc games, now if only I could get ff9 to work.... the title animation goes so incredibly slow, and I can't skip it. Tried all compatability modes. I'd love to see a patch, or a fix in the next popstarter.
