Here's some photos of my setup: http://imgur.com/a/BiZ5W

I'm pretty sure I got everything in the right place. The games do start up but when they freeze I can't open the IGR.

EDIT: And concerning the patch file, the same thing happens without it in the /__.POPS/ directory. I've also run MD5 checks on IOPRP252.IMG and POPS.ELF and they match the MD5 codes provided here - http://ps2home.freeforums.net/thread/162/popstarter-13-wip-guide

aha maybe the problem is that you have the patchbin in the games remove it from there. in your common/POPS there are your virtual memory cards put the patch bin in the game memory card that need the patch

ok lets focus at your games use imgburn to read your cds. also are your cds clean not scratches and they need to be virgin images not patched. for example ntsc pal selectors. of antipiracy patches. and use the cue2pops converter to convert your games by drag and drop your cue file in the cue2pops.bat

My old PS1 CD's of the games are scratched to all hell so I couldn't rip them. I downloaded the isos. I didn't patch them in any way and yes I dragged them to the cue2pops.bat to convert them. I transferred them to the HDD using pfsshell.

are the game you download unpatched?? some rom sites give them patched. go to redump.org and make sure the bin crc match the redump.org database

    The MD5 for the Diablo.bin matched redump.org's.

mmm everything is look good from your side. try this final test. use at first the latest beta rename popstarter.ELF as your game example diablo.ELF if didnt work try the last stable. if not working ether. then a dev must look on it.

Improved Spyro 2, thanks! However I could start a new game but it hangs on the second opening cutscene.

Didn't change anything for Diablo and Spyro 3.

Since this is my first post
    Hi, Y'all!
I can only say that Diablo SLES-01156 PAL works in POPS 13 WIP 05 and 06 beta 07.12.2015 on USB.
    In POPS folder I have only 4 files: "Diablo.VCD", "PFS_WRAP.BIN", "POPS.PAK" and "XX.Diablo.ELF" for WIP 05.

Well it's really weird that the games are not working, sometimes a modchip can interfere with POPS but since you don't have one I'm not really sure what could be the problem... what's the model of your PS2? Could be a problem with your PS2 model or maybe the games you downloaded are corrupted and/or somehow the VCD's are getting corrupted...

You should try the games in an emulator to see if they are working properly, also try converting the VCD's with another PC and just use
CUE2POPS v2.0, you just have to drag and drop the cue file into CUE2POPS_2_0.EXE. Make sure that the bin and cue of the game are both located in the same folder where CUE2POPS is located.

Another problem that I could think of could be your PS2's HDD, maybe you should try formatting it and installing everything from scratch...

About internal HDD, you are using the genuine official network adapter with an IDE HDD, or a clone network adapter?

How you created the partition of pops? which version of uLE you used?

    Best regards.

I bought the adapter on ebay. The ethernet port was removed though...? It uses an IDE HDD like normal.

I created the POPS partition using uLE. Latest version I could find (wip7).

You have a fake network adapter, that could be the problem, although it would explain why pops is not working with a usb device.
Try using pops with a usb device and make sure the network adapter is not connected.

If there is not ethernet port is a clone, and clones causes a lot of incompatibilities, is well know.

Try what Shady says, with USB and the clone network adapter removed from the console, or
buy the official Sony network adapter, is more expensive but is the only one 100% compatible
    with all the Scene programs.

    Best regards.
