Ah, ok. Thank you. I tried to search for this with google but most of the hits I got were in Spanish (which I cannot read).

Which is more compatible - USB, or HDD? I was thinking of upgrading my PS2 with a 500gb internal SATA drive (with SATA adapter), as I currently am running PS2 games via SD, and the 64gb card I use is too small.

    Thanks!

Beware that those SATA network adaptors are compatibles, unless you mean a modded SONY Network Adaptor that has a IDE to SATA board installed into it.
So far, there hasn't been a perfectly-compatible 3rd party adaptor, so you may experience compatibility issues with some software.

The maxdiypower SATA adapter mod for the network adapter is what I will be using, and it is pretty unanimous that compatibility is great.

I am curious about something else - once I get PS1 games/popstarter working on an internal hard drive through OPL, where would I be able to get artwork for the PS1 games?

You won't be making popstarter work through OPL as it's standalone... hehe

At best you would use OPL elf launch menu to load it. ;)

That's what I meant, thank you. Now where would I be able to get artwork?

1)i have 1tb sata hdd, and i use WINHIIP to configure it. now i want to copy ps1 games (in VCD format) but i don't want to copy its trought pendrive, the writing speed is very low... i tried to use Pfsshel but any time i want to use it will format my hdd :( idk why did it..
do you know any program that allows to copy games quickly ?

    2) what about a new popstarter version?

When you connect your 1tb sata hdd, do you use a usb adapter or connect directly to the sata bus on the computer? I've seen a usb adapter cause hdd corruption to my PS2 hdd before. I've used pfsshell many times with my 1tb sata PS2 drive without a problem for partitions at the start of my hdd (see below). Works with esata connection too.

HOWEVER, I think you have to have the partitions that you write to in the first 137GB? of your hard drive because I don't think pfsshell is 48-bit hdd capable. This is probably the problem you are encountering.

An alternative way would be transfer the VCDs via network, by using uLe and Radshell. It takes around 6 min for a 600MB file.

i will try to use RadHostClient ;)
    i have another question;
i use PAL version of games because i'm Italian, and i had a problem with component cable and GSM0.23x, because if i use ntsc selection the video is ok but audio is accelerated, and if i use other option audio is too slow :/

PAL games runs perfectly with component cable without problems of sound or nothing, i use them
together from long time in my CRT TV.
Your problem is from another nature but not from the emulator, maybe your TV, your game, your console, etc.

    Best regards.

i have an hdtv.. i know that with crt tv games run perfectly because i've tested it.. but with modern tv the games can't be seen.
tried also to convert the GAME.bin file from pal to ntsc but the result is the same of gsm solution. with ntsc games it's all ok! please update popstarter and add PAL compatibility with hdtv and component cable, because i'm not the only person that had this problem :)
    thanks for all :)
