Really are people still playing the retarded feature card? I mean it's not like 360 didn't kill an important feature it self (cough killing halo 2).

 

I loved the ps3 until they removed OtherOS. I am sorry, but you have to admit it was a ridiculous move. As for the halo 2 issue, yeah they took it out, but rarely anyone played it anymore, and it was to improve XBL since MS themselves said it was what kept the friend cap so low.

 

How many people have purchased two or more 360s due to them self-destructing? I would imagine a lot of the Xbox's sales are due to people buying them to replace dead consoles.

 

Yes - include me with two Xbox 360 bought due to ROD. And now i have problems with the DVD drive of the second console. Xbox 360 is a piece of junk. In all years of gaming i never had a console with hardware failure!

Good to see that the better console i now also good in sales.

 

The way sony removed linux was not a bright way to go about it. I will gladly agree with that but I also don't see it as big of a feature as people claim it is (and I code for a living). Still It is a feature removal in the grand scheme of things.

As for halo 2 not being heavily played, that would be false as it still had more people playing it then many other 360 games. As for the issue of Ms having to remove it to improve live. There are ways they could have gone around that. MS did have the right to shutdown XBL1 servers but if people are going to bring up "removed features" it's BS to act like only one side does it. To me Linux removal & XBL server removal are on par as they are both software feature removals and not hardware (PS2 BC required hw which added to production cost, if people wanted it then they should have coughed up the dough for a BC unit).

I also have to question how much you really loved the PS3 if linux removal was all you needed to immediately hate the system.

Just to clarify. I'm not trying to make my post a system war. I just find the argument used of "X only adds while Y only removes" a total crap argument. Sure it sucks we loose features from time to time in this day & age but dear god the amount of new stuff both systems have added since launch is massive.

 

Yeah I had to buy a second 360 because the DVD drive shit out. It would take 10-30 tray cycles to recognize a game, as a game. Otherwise it'd play the DVD portion telling me to put it in a 360 to play the game

Thats okay subbie, Sony NEVER adds new features to the PS3, never once /sarcasm. 3d is a pretty big deal to simply add to a console like Sony did. Yeah, I hate that stuff was removed, but everyone had the opportunity to buy a BC system. It sucks, but like you said, its not exclusive to anyone.

 

My Supergun is better than both.

It is interesting though how much of a comeback the PS3 made after having such a weak start.
