    when will people learn PSN is just shit compared to XBOX live... that Paid fee goes towards SOMETHING

    Jumping to conclusions again assembler? =)

    Seems it's down for USA & Europe (I hear japan is up still). It was down this morning for scheduled maintenance but later it taken down for unscheduled maintenance.

    I wouldn't gloat over XBLive atm either. There seems to be a growing number of people on neogaf getting their accounts stolen with charges made to their credit cards. On top of it the ordeal to fix it wasn't pleasant for some. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=442986&page=6

    Seems to be coming back now for some people in USA & Europe.

    To your previous point. Yes I agree with you that neogaf should be taken with a grain of salt. Yet the personal experiences of dealing with MS Support are not bogus. They are downright horrible at times.

    Also you your self jumped to conclusions with assembler and made a bogus claim that this is why people should pay for XBL yet assembler jumped to conclusions and you took it as the truth but discredit what users on neogaf said and point to a 2005 article as your backup (yes people are idiots but not everybody looses their info through phishing scams).

    If we want to go further, if people are having to pay $50 a month for XBL, then why are they also getting blasted with Ads all over the dashboard and sony doesn't feel the need to do the same? =P

    It was a 2007 article by the way.
    Also it's not $50 a month it's $50 a year which for all the content you get isn't that bad at all.

    I have delt with MS Support 3 times once when I had a problem with my Thompson drive XBOX (which 10 years later still works) again when first 360 red ringed and I was on the phone all day and again when my 2nd one Red ringed.

    I have to call them again to get my dad's Credit Card off my account I forsee that being a Pain in the ass.

    In Japan XBOX live isn't anywhere near $50 a month nor do we have any adds what so ever :thumbsup: I love my Xbox live :nod: Never had any issues in two years of use plus had a good result with customer service over a poor battery. I sent it to the states and they sent back a new one to Japan all for free :thumbsup:

    We may be luckier in Japan than the states though. I can't say for sure.

    EDIT: Just read GOH's post. Yeah, XBOX Live is only $50 a year which is fantastic value when you see what you get.

    There was a time in the Early 360 era that the install base was so Small Microsoft actually had somebody PICK UP defective units in Japan.

    That was a miss-type of mine. I meant a year. =(

    I've dealt with them one time and had a hangup and spent probably well over 3 hours on the phone for over a question they should have been able to answer in 5 seconds. =| Also getting your credit card removed from your account is total BS. It should never be allowed to be a pain the ass. With PSN it's just a few quick seconds via account manager that can be accessed on a PS3, PSP or PC. :shrug:

    All assembler needs to do is spam a few more of these topics with a 1 man monolog and he might be able to take the crown back. :p
