    Hi guys,
i was trying to mod a PSONE scph-101 with board PM-41(2) and unfortunately srewed it up....
So, i´m looking to replace the SMD components i burnt but i could not find the schematics of the board PM-41(2), besides i would probably have a hard time trying to decipher it...
I´d really appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks

The first component is the one corresponding to number 6

The second one is the one under the 6b point.

Could you measure the smd caps for us please. Be as precise as possible. Use a caliper if you have one.

But I do think the one at 6 is a 0.01uf smd cap (0102), same goes for the one at 6b aswell..

Out of interest, how did you work out what cap values they are?

The cap the 6 wire goes to has been 4700pF ever since the PU-22, and the tracks the other one is connected to make it clear it's a decoupling cap. There are various values around that chip, but the largest one is 1uF, and that looked like it was one of the larger ones.

The chip is the same on both models. Look up the chip, count the pins and you will get the component and value.

It's different - the older models (PU-22/PU-23/PM41) used a CXD2938 - the PM41(2) uses a CXD2941 that is in a different package with less pins (because it now has the SPU work RAM integrated), so directly counting pins isn't going to work, although the circuitry around the chip is obviously highly similar to the old models.

Sorry, I didn't read the thread properly. I had assumed it was point 2. Even though it was mentioned about 5 times its point 6.

But those are resistors anyway, so ignore me.

Caps have been replaced, the console works perfectly with originals games.
However the chipmod does not load my backups (from my originals games).
Can you please confirm me if the installation schematics i am using is correct ?
It´s a One chip with stealth.

The connection for pin 6 looks wrong - try moving it to the other end of the resistor (the end that's connected to the cap you just replaced). Pin 3 is also slightly nonstandard (it normally goes to pin 44 of the mechacon not pin 45), but that would just alter the modchip shutdown timing slightly and shouldn't prevent things from booting. Pin 8 is also a little unusual, but that's just a ground connection, so it could be put pretty much anywhere on the board.

Pins 1 (VDD), 5 (WFCK) and 7 (DOOR) are definitely correct.

Everyone makes mistakes, especially when reading on a phone while doing something else at the same time.

Besides, I point out others mistakes - would be hypocritical to get mardy when someone does it to me. I'm all about information being correct, if I'm wrong then correct me.

Shouldnt be anything special to admit ones mistakes.

Did he say he sold you a ONEchip though? you mentioned that above, if so - onechip doesnt work on the US psone.
