Like I've always said, I will never be an early adapter of Sony's game products, because of thier track record. All those people complaining about cruddy screens didn't learn thier lessons with the early faulty PS1s and PS2s. So I'm going to give it a couple of months before I think of getting one. That said, I came to work last Wednesday and it seemed like everyone in the building had one. (I do work for a videogame company after all, and every person that works there seems to have lots of disposable income as well as a collecting obsession that meets or exceeds my own, a few of them even know about the Assembler forums. Just kind of wierd to meet people in real life who know where I "hang out" on the internet. Anyway...) If they're getting crappy sales I wouldn't know it. Nobody at my work is complaining about crappy screens either. BTW as a funny side note, at lunch you know what system everybody plays? Dreamcast.
Bah. The Saturn would wipe the floor with the DC any day. You can't diss a system that runs Wipeout XL/2097. And hell, running the PAL version of 2097 on a NTSC Saturn just ups the speed and makes it even better! -hl718
Oh my Godzor! Not like it's fast enough as it is! That must be insane playing it 17% faster... I remember for some reason or other, on the PC version one of the tracks used to go unplayably fast on my system, and it's not like it was too good a PC or anything - it was a Celeron 366 with a god-awful 8MB ATI Rage Pro!
I agree wit your there hl718, the Saturn is way better than a DC but the DC is way better than a PS2, Xbox or Game Cube Yakumo
I would agree with you but it's not very hard to see that the Saturn version runs at half the framerate of the PS version :smt009
Gah, I haven't visited this topic for awhile... AND look what happens! A console war! Everybody knows DC rocks the socks off of the various other consoles anyway.
