It seems that a chinese guy was able to downgrade a 3.5 psp with what it seems to be the "magic memory stick", we cannot be sure it's the magic memory stick because the guy in the video keeps telling the camera-woman not to film the left side of the psp (which is where the memory stick goes). Here a link to the video and the story: http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSP-FW-3-50-downgraded-with-magical-un-bricking-memstick-in-China-WHAT-/pg/49/aid/96016
I'm nearly 100% sure that its fake because if you listen you can hear a women go "why aren't you using the high pixel camera?" and he says "He doesn't want to give it away" which says it all but wait theres more If you notice it looks like hes just got the psp out brand new so why when he turns it on doesn't it go in to the set up screen? Instead its just like hes just switching it on normally. This has lead me to think that he has just used a homebrew app to change the OE firmware system info which would be X.XX OE to just 3.50 and then made it like hes downgrading it.
Looks like PS3News will be known as the most hated website of the world by homebrew community anyway (why did you remove the download links?)
I'm guessing; first this thread/release and now Pandora's Battery, hence the frantic post removal by DeMoN X.
Yeah, I think the delete was a wise move however just incase someone mistakenly used the download here rather than the download available elsewhere relating to today's Pandora's Battery news. Which, can I say is awesome! :icon_bigg
The files are old and useless now I might just edit the thread to include the pandoras battery stuff instead. I removed my other posts because I'm having issues with a member at the moment who claims to have not leaked these files onto ps3news but I belive otherwise. Everyone here can make their minds up for themselfs. http://www.ps3news.com/forums/CJPC http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=109765&highlight=CJPC#post109765 ^^ Look at post 10 and then 12. CJ! was CJPC. He had friends on his PS3News account linked to this forum and related forums, once he seen my post stating this he removed them. CJ!, if you want to clear these issues up on here or PM, this is your chance.
DeMoN X: we can always ask the moderators, since they are kind enough to answer such questions, and CJPC gives me a feeling of somebody who ran away. After setting this forum up, and then afterwards. Some antipiracy went flying this way. And there was a big gathering of money. To pay for this forum.
I'm already at that stage now, I gave him his chances. He continues to lie to me and personally I feel hes putting this site and its members at risk and action needs to be taken.
The issue has been resolved, The admins and mods are interested in the full details of how this came about so I will give you my timeline of events. 06-07-2007 - I release files on this private area of the forum, I done this because it might have helped for devlopment purposes since a few members seem to have special hardware, I did not want to release this anywhere else due to the influx of noobs asking silly questions/speculation 06-15-2007 - PSP_Magic_Memory_Stick-[www.PS3News.com].rar appears on PS3News, Maxconsole then made a thread linking those files, then spread to to other sites and torrents. I contacted PS3News to get information about it only to get banned and have my IP posted on their IRC/Forums. 08-22-2007 - I discover a member called CJPC is an admin at PS3News and was also a member of assember and I done some research to confirm this. I made a post on the thread asking him to contact me, he never so I removed my post. He contacted me on the PM system instead I also removed my other posts to clean up the thread due to the pandora battery release. 08-23-2007 - I repost what I deleted on the 23rd http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=221158&postcount=31 warning CJ to clear up these issues or i would let the admins deal with it, on the same day CJPC responded claiming he was not a member of the 0bit forum to cover up his tracks, Assembler confirmed otherwise. 08-24-2007 - CJ! Gets removed due to him scamming ASSEMbler in the past and making a dupe account that I discovered for the wrong reasons I'm sure if he never done that, he would have been removed anyway due to leaking these files to his shitty site.
