Qtrax made claims that they were legal, big four record labels deny this :- thus, Qtrax is more likely than not illegal. End of discussion.

 

maybe we spoke too soon?....apparently, if there not just bluffing, then qtrax is shelling out some cash......who knows what qtrax really is LOL

Aah, I've found out where the confusion has arisen - according to Sky News:

"The site was due to go live on Monday 28th January promising peer-to-peer downloads from a catalogue of 25 million songs from the four major labels, except it turns out that none of the record companies had signed up to the deal.

"...It seems that the labels all had agreements with Qtrax in the past, when the company was testing a paid music download service, but the contracts had expired and did not cover the scope of the ambitious new scheme.

"Qtrax president and chief executive Allan Klepfisz has made a statement saying the launch would be postponed "for a short time"."

Actually, according to BAM Racing's website, they offered any new start-up company the advertise on their car for $4,995 (through their Diamond Sponsorship program). That's really not a lot of money.

yup....it hasn't worked for them though. only sponser they had was lifelock...

..originally they thought they could get 100+ sponsers on the car......
