Wow ... I never knew about that! It was never even announced for Saturn was it?

I'd love to read any more info you might have! :)

I've long since cleared out most of my gaming magazine collection (apart from a full set of the UK Official Sega Saturn Magazine, which I'll always cherish), but I seem to recall either Saturn+ or Sega Power reporting that Namco had completed Saturn conversions of Cyber Sled and Ridge Racer with the intention of releasing these around the time of the console's release in Japan. However, when Sony threw money to ensure both appeared on the PlayStation six months before rival platforms, Sega got cold feet and fell out with Namco, dropping them as a licensed third party developer. This continued until 1998 when their relationship was briefly repaired with the brilliant Soul Calibur, though apart from Mr. Driller they didn't really produce anything else for Sega's 128-bit machine. For most of the mid to late '90s, Namco regarded Sega as more of a direct competitor - especially in the arcade market - than a potential business partner, though you could argue this brought out the best in both, with AM2 especially stepping up to match their every move across many of the biggest genres. Proving their mutual respect for each other never truly faded, one detail many forget about this period is that original Ridge Racer designer Kenji Sasaki went on to be a key member of the Sega Rally team, plus they later collaborated on Vampire Night at a time when the PlayStation 2 was dominant over the rapidly ailing Dreamcast, but I digress...

The only unreleased/beta games I'm interested in:

    Saturn Shenmue
    Saturn Virtua Fighter 3
Resident Evil 4 beta (the one that was more like the older RE games)
Scud Race for Dreamcast (if there was ever anything beyond the tech demo)
Half Life 2 E3 tech demo - I think parts of this have been released, but not the whole thing
    Rave Racer for PC (PowerVR)

That's all I can think of.

    Just remembered a few more.

Early versions of Twilight Princess, and Six Days In Fallujah.

I remember seeing Six Days In Fallujah in Game Informer a few years ago. It was going to take place during the battle of Fallujah and have events occur that were taken from veterans's experiences there. It got cancelled because it was receiving criticism from being made so soon after Fallujah.

Surprised to see no mention of the Super Mario 64 beta. Well, the multiple versions throughout development. Maybe I'm just a bit too into it, but I would give a lot to see that dream become a reality. Fat chance, but hey.
