Valve made ~6 prototype games called TF2, and one of them leaked.

We know. You have a WTB thread, stop posting multiple times in other threads

It isn't micro management. You post it in every thread that has even a hint of the 360, throughout multiple accounts over the years, and we've fielded complaints in the past.

Nintendo items are kind of a given, the company has the best no leak records that I've seen. Hence many of their games are on the top of the list. Here's one that isn't often mentioned. Mario's Castle which was going to be an Atlantis title. Project Atlantis was the original GBC successor. http://www.wired.com/2009/03/gdc-nintendos-u/

Nintendo is very enigmatic even internally. I've read employee accounts, and they've said that some of the buildings are white and unadorned kind of like a hospital. There must be more wild and discarded products in there that would make us froth in the mouth.

Years? Why the fuck are you still tolerating this shit?

I know there's not much people into Tomb Raider beta material but I definitely am!

Tomb Raider beta versions seem to be incredibly rare to come across these days. I have stumbled upon some collectors which had/have stuff but they weren't interested in selling.

There's quite a lot of things I could say is considered to be a "must have" as follows:

Tomb Raider (2013). There's a huge fascination about this game's development. Many things were changed, levels and missions entirely removed! This game had its ending changed too!

Tomb Raider: Underworld. Early builds were actually less buggy in terms of movement. Perhaps some earlier beta versions have the cancelled ending?

Tomb Raider: Legend. Alpha versions around 2005 showed areas much better than the final game. Looked more or less *almost* complete. Different Lara model!

Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition. [PSP] Cancelled - *Amazing* Such a shame the game got canned. What a waste of such a great looking, colourful game!

Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. Overly designed game, delayed resulting in the cancellation of various levels and levels in the retail game were cut down to save time.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. Perhaps early versions have the levels shown in magazine screenshots which never made it to the final?

Tomb Raider III: Pretty much my favorite game... Around mid 1998 they already had most of the areas done. They just happened to have decided to remove vehicles and other intended items in the game to make game play more dynamic!

Tomb Raider: There's footage of a tech demo for the original Tomb Raider made very early on in development. Featuring levels that didn't even make it. I actually believe this game got cancelled because they were offered more development time so they used that.

Various other cancelled Tomb Raider games are also a "must have" for me ;]

    ----------------

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I played a very early build of the game... It had several cancelled areas which the fans are aware of these days.... I wonder how many collectors have it? Seems pretty rare so far.

I'm still leaning towards Castlevania Resurrection on the Dreamcast being little more than a tech-demo. My gut feeling is that 'something' would have surfaced by now but in all probability the project was canned and whatever discs were around have been destroyed, never leaving the studio. All speculation, of course, but that's what I think happened.

Here's an interesting bit of trivia for you. Last month in Japan, Konami ran a trading card TV add which used the FMV castle sequence from the DC version of Castlevania! I recognised it straight away.

Impressive! Then this suggests the assets were shipped straight back to Konami Japan.

So, even less chance of Castlevania DC ever seeing the light of day, unless Yakumo decides to infiltrate their offices over a quiet weekend. I can provide the grappling hook. :)

Pretty much any protos of Rareware games could be added to this list. Anything getting out is not at all common.

That's not really as true now. Quite a bit from rare has leaked, but people just want more and are never happy

That would be incorrect as near gold versions are somewhat common.

What about an early Streets of Rage 1 sample/prototype?

Forget that. There was a 100% rip off of Bare Knuckle made by Samsung for "their" Mega Drive in Korea called City Heroes. The game was never released but I bet if it was they would have been sued to hell. No matter what anyone says it's obvious this is a rip off Bare Knuckle. Just look at the graphics, character sizes and even stance. I remember some nut who loved to defend Korea saying that the game was 100% original. BULL SHIT!

Head on over to Hard Core Gaming 101 and scroll down the page until you see the screen shots.
