yes, once before on Yahoo Auctions. Inside is a regular Dreamcast in a regular box. It's just a card slip cover from what I remember.

Yeah, it is, but that doesn't render it less amazing :D
I always wonder what other cardboard slip cover-version there are around... reckon the "Saturn Bomberman Kit" slip cover Saturn that turned up on yahoo, it went for 45'000JPY regardless that there was just a regular white Saturn in it.

Too true. Some people will pay way too much money for something with a cost value of a few pennies.

it was a special campaign in japan. three different card sleeves exist. they were given away with every purchased DC during this campaign.

so nothing special, but still a nice addition to a dc collection.

    - Project berkley (a video, not a game though but still shipped with a special edition of Virtua Fighter 3TB)

    - Sega Swirl (a full tetris like game that was distributed in one of the European gameon magazines demo GD).

    - After Limited edition (Japanese game)

    - Suika Limited edition (Japanese game, not sure how rare is that one)

    - Segagaga (pretty rare when you think of it)

    - PAL(E) Version of Samba de Amigo (as far as I recall there were only 500pcs sold in France, I dunno about other countries)

I know this won't be the rarest of the rare, but does anyone know any history behind the game "F1 World Grand Prix 2"? I have both the first and second games on the N64 and guess that both this and the first game are just ports. However there seem to be quite a few sellers on ebay listing it for quite a high fee. Doesn't seem worth it for me! (I'm looking at PAL copies)

This was horribly common in NTSC land. The US ODCM included it on multiple demo GD-ROMs. It was also included on the Sega Smash Pack disc which was bundled with US Dreamcast systems for a time.

I think cost has little relevance in this hobby. In the case w/ the cardboard, it is supply in demand. You don't know the half of it either -- the arcade side of things is far more ludicrous, but I'll have to admit I've participated.

Didn't the whole double CD case print include that disc? At least I remember it as being absolutely common, maybe I confuse something.

    Very common (30$) in Japan.

If it's factory sealed retail games we're talking about, I would definitely say a sealed PAL copy of Taxi II Le Jeu would be high up there with the likes of PAL Samba De Amigo, Evolution II, and Skies Of Arcadia etc

Taxi II Le Jeu was apparently only available in France, and is rumoured to have had a very low print run (Around 5,000 units)
