Yeah, Bangaioh is pretty hard to find. While I'm not sure if it's REALLY rare or not, Doubutsu No Mori doesn't seem to surface very often, although playing Animal Crossing on your N64 is something that must be seen to be believed. :smt043 Also, I believe the Evangelion game was rather uncommon as well. In the US, Starcraft 64 seems to show up infrequently, as well as Bomberman 64 (NOT Bomberman Hero).
Both those games show up pretty regularly at the store I work at but always in shitty condition. It might be the same copies keep circulating into the store. ^_^;;
tsumi to batsu is among the more expensive titles, although it isnt really rare. its a damn fine game, though! =) actually, i cant think of a single rare n64 pal game, but the reason for this most likely is the overall low interest for the system, plus i've never bothered to search for any specific titles. oh wait, i remember that the shindou super mario 64 and shindou waverace 64 games are somewhat uncommon. these were rumble-feature-enabled re-releases of the games.
I can confirm that in the US, Bomberman 64 is not even remotely rare. I see it all the time used. However, during my 2 years working full time as an assistant manager at a GameStop, I only saw Starcraft 64 once and it was in god-awful shape. It also had a $35 used pricetag on it. Command and Conquer 64 I only saw twice as well. As for Evangelion being rare, I heard that it's not a rare as you would think, just highly sought after.
you know its funny, but for some reason kirby 64 goes for a good amount depending on where you go, but as far as rare, id say the version of star fox 64 wiht rumble pack, its a pain to find a mint copy of that, as well as donkey 64 with ram pack.
orge battle sold ofr 80 used at a local shop in town.....razor freestyle scooter..it was a rental only i believe...im gonna go out on a limb and say tony hawk 3 for the n64, havent seen that much...
Few games that we have barely seen at our game shop for the N64: -Kirby 64 -Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (The second version of Castlevania 64) -Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 -That one N64 Indiana Jones game
The Indiana Jones game is a bit more rare, as it was rental only. And everyone that's seen Bomberman, make sure you double check the label - there was the Bomberman 64 (classic Bomberman action!) game, and then there was Bomberman Hero (awful adventure game!). The former is difficult to come across, the latter is common as can be, and awful to boot. And yeah, Tsumi To Batsu/Sin And Punishment isn't terribly rare - it's a bit less common than other games, but there are always a few copies floating about eBay. The price has started going down in the past year, too - it's now possible to get a copy for ~$50 or less. Every N64 fan should already have this in their collection, though... But yes, Ogre Battle 64 and Kirby seem to be rather uncommon in NTSC/U land. Conker's Bad Fur Day also commands reasonable prices when it shows up.
you know i just though of it, but what about the last bomberman game released for 64, ive yet to see an import store that remotely has it in stock and ive never seen it on ebay, it was baisilcy fully like the old bomberman but with nicer graphics, in fact it was one of the last japanses releases(so no it definetly is not either of the frist two or hero), does anyone have boxart of this, also forgot to mention japanes version of goldeneye is extremely rare, i saw one copy of it on play asia going for about $65 used. I have yet to see a copy of it on ebay as well.
here is the box art for bomberman arcade edition for n64 - not that rare though they usually come up quite frequently on yahoo japan.
You want to try finding puyo puyon party. Its really hard to find, even yahoo has only a few copys from time to time. Hehe it still makes me laugh when people say bangio is really rare as its one of the easiest games to find. Theres at least 1 copy on ebay every week.
