Games wise - i got Shenmue 4 disc edition, SHenmue II PAL, Jojos bizarre adventure, Guilty Gear X, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia II, KOF 99 - 2002 and a few other ones on the Dreamcast.... also got the sealed sega saturn picture editions of VF1 one and the boxed Nights game on saturn with the 3d controller....not sure if they are worth anything...
You can check more photos of the Minish Cap Limited Edition and some info from my web-site: http://www.yetanotherzelda.com/web/collection/item.jsp?id=45 And if you are interested more on Zelda items, I have also The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Limited Edition Adventure Set (limited to 1000 units): And The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons / Oracle of Ages Limited Edition (limited to 500 units):
Wow rottentreats I am jealous!Man I wish this beast was released.Way ahead of it's time if you ask me.
As was suggested at the beginning of this thread, it really depends on what one considers "rare"... I own both of Geno Andrews' solo CDs + a copy of Hi Rez Audio Volume 1 (got this from Geno himself), which combined are the closest thing to the never-produced(?) soundtrack to Presto Studios' Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time, but I could probably count on my fingers the number of people who would care about such a thing Not sure if this is the *rarest* gaming-related thing I have, but I did pick up a CyberTech S-video/Stereo daughtercard for the Atari 2600 a few years ago and currently have it installed in my 4-switch model. Given that I can't find it available for sale anymore and I'm the only person I know who has a modded 2600, I'd consider that pretty rare. ;-)
Hey Japi Very nice boxes you have there. Just one little note. The OoS/OoA Box is limited to 750 units. I am quite sure about it.
Any one of my unreleased NES prototypes: Arcadia VI Hoppin' Mad Kitty's Catch USA Bowling Spy vs Spy 2: The Island Caper Super Turrican NTSC Super Xevious Solomon's Key 2 NTSC (in the mail) Caveman Ninja NTSC (in the mail) Licensed Tengen Tetris I may be forgetting one or two, but I think that's all. And my 3.5" floppy with the files for the unreleased Genesis game Kartoon Kombat.
hi guys. just recently joined the forum. dont think i have anything near as rare as any of you have...but thought id show a few interesting things anyway: booster boy for original game boy: not exactly limited in production numbers, but certainly an oddity... halo 3 promotional box: the original ps3 grill: as far as i am aware, the only one in existance. you may have saw videos of this circulating when the ps3 was originally released and being compared to a george foreman grill so someone decided to make a grill from the case of one and then sold it on ebay. i was the lucky winner. never could get the thing to work though...blew out the fuses in our kitchen
I haven't dug it out in many years, but I have an old Sega Megadrive "Controller Checker"... It's a normal cartridge with a typed label stick on. Is it worth anything? I've never seen them come up in conversation. I got it off a Mate who's Dad worked for Sega many moons ago.
@Japo: Sweet items, even though I've never really played Zelda, since I've never really had much Nintendo gear, I sure envy you:thumbsup: @cR@Zy!NgLi$h: Well, the obscurity of the item, the coolness of such a thing, and the fact I've never heard of it, makes it very intriguing:nod: And I'm sure it's worth somthing;-) One thing I have to comment though, is your name, my god it's a nightmare to spell, please change for something simpler;-)
I have the following (not sure if any of it is particularly rare or worth anything): A pre-retail-release N64 from a store kiosk, with NFR - Demo Use Only stamped on the bottom of the unit and on the Mario 64 cartridge A DemoBoy (not DemoBoy II, DemoVision, etc) that looks different than any other DemoBoys I can find pictures of Two GameBoys w/ ribbon cables to attach to the DemoBoy Gamecube "Interactive Multi-Game Demo Disc" versions "7" and "October 2001"
I would if I had the right equipment to do so. The only thing remotely related to ROM dumping I currently have is a PIC programmer. I'm guessing that the chips labeled U1 and U17 would be of interest?
Battlesphere Gold, Atari Jaguar. It ain't that rare to me it's just damn expensive! cost me $600 plus import tax of about £80 I seem to remember. Also have limited editions of Simon Querhorst Atari 2600 games Kite and I Project. I also have a copy of his 4K4U demo. I also won a copy of Bitchy for the Atari Lynx. ONly 20 copies in the world.
My rarities / holy grails would have to be: Signed copies of Yoshi's Island (SNES) & Zelda: Ocarina of Time by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto. Both sigs were obtained at E3 1996 (Yoshi) and E3 2002 (Zelda). The picture (my avatar) is of me with the late Gunpei Yokoi at the first annual E3 1995. Gunpei was at the show to present the Virtual Boy and answer questions from the Press. It was indeed a surreal moment meeting him and playing him in a couple rounds of Tetris Attack (SNES) which he also Produced. This is a copy of the E3 1995 Trade Show Daily (Day 2). To my surprise I found the former Nintendo of America President Minoru Arakawa walking around the Nintendo booth with some other Execs. The only thing I had significant for him to sign was a Nintendo article in the trade paper - lol The late Gunpei Yokoi signed the below the article talking about Virtual Boy. Here's a shot of other my games signed by their creators. Metal Gear Solid: Premium Package signed by Hideo Kojima & Yoji Shinkawa Metal Gear Solid 4: signed by David Hayter ( voice of Solid Snake ) Shenmue (DC) Japan import signed by Yu Suzuki Akumajō Dracula X: Gekka no Yasōkyoku (PSX) signed by Koji Igarashi This is my Nintendo Wii signed by the Vice President of Nintendo (America) Cammie Dunaway. I met her back in April 2009 at the Nintendo DSi launch at Universal Studios CityWalk, in Hollywood, CA People find her annoying but she is sweet in-person. There's a few other goodies I possess but these are my precious  All the items are complete and have since been kept in a fireproof deposit box until I have the display cases custom made .
Herman: That's just epic! I'm sooo jealous! I guess my rarest things are a CIB Whirlo and a CB Mr. Gimmick
Sadly, my collection is pretty bad right now. However, I bought a Street Fighter 15th Anniversary pad for Xbox at Gamestop for $10. At first, I thought it was nothing out of the ordinary, but it turns out it has a really low print number:
Seeing as I gave up all videogames for a life on the road. The rarest thing I own is myself. Only one in existence AFAIK
Herman was is the date on the N64 Zelda cart? I just notcied mine is dated as well. I wonder if he dated all the arts he signed? You have some very nice autographs there. I am sure there have to be others out there but I have never seen another Gunpei Yokoi signature. Major props go out to you on that one.
