LOL!!!! Go send him $20 offers with some trolling in the 'terms' box. Here's one of the arcade sticks for the SNES. Auction ended with 0 bids and was unsold.. It had a buy it now price of around $260.. again it didn't sell. Now there's this clown trying to sell the same shit for $449 Rose Colored Gaming : Products for Sociopaths.
Nah not worth my time. Even as professional as rosecoloredgaming's shit is, I wasn't happy with my business inquiry with him/them either. Couldn't answer a question, and after that wouldn't reply. I also forgot about the stolen art work problem too... There will be always people like this on the internet, we can point and laugh but that won't do anything. Usually anything marked up or made up to be "impressive" will only sell to equally silly people. As the saying goes, more money than sense.
Do you still happen to have the housing, of that GBC Pikachu edition? (Sorry for going off topic). I actually contacted him once, cause I needed some help with a project. He was nice enough to help me back then actually. I don't know at what point, it all went wrong for him, but something must have happend :/ I mean, the guy got some skill. Unfortunately he is using them for evil.
I would put money on the fact that he didn't - apart from anything else, it's a ROM hack, so to legally distribute it you would need clearance both from Nintendo (who produced the original ROM) and the guy who hacked it. Note that the original developer shipped it as an .IPS patch that the user had to apply against the original Nintendo ROM image - presumably so as to sidestep the "unauthorized derivative work" problem. Hence I can't see him taking money from someone that was shipping it in a merged (and hence clearly copyright infringing) form, even if it was offered.
Possible loophole: The box that the illegal game ships in is $800, the game is a free 'gift' with the purchase of the box
I've never cared for his art style. It often just strays too far from Official likeness for me. It's good though. The prices on all the stuff used to be actually a lot lower. As it got more popular, prices skyrocketed. It actually takes a lot of work and skill to do it all in a QC consistent manner. So he has my respect for that. Different folks different strokes. No need to be assholes about it folks.
Yep, it definitely takes a lot of work and skill to spray paint cartridges and Photoshop designs made from other peoples' art, and then push print on a printer...Man, I'm sweating just thinking about how hard that is. And just because we don't feel the same as YOU, doesn't mean we're being assholes. You're more than welcome to go spend $349 on his next "limited release."
You mean there's a place called a "Photoshop" that sells designs and there are things called "printers?" He must have exclusive access or something of the like...
I'd put money on it that all the software he uses is cracked. Why would he want to lower his bottom line any more than it is now? I mean, he's barely breaking even at those prices. Ah man, the Earthbound arcade sticks are sold out now! SUCKS! I was just about to pull the trigger on one! They were such a good deal!
For all we know, he could produce 5/300 and then say sold out when he can't be fucked making any more.
An arcade stick for a roleplaying game... ha, ha, ha. I bet the hipsters buying this stylish nonsense will feel just as cool as those fools who build Zelda-themed MAME cabinets.
Guys, it's official: RCG is now an official game producer. And to celebrate this they're releasing, yet again, another game they did NOT produce. This high-gloss spray painted cartridge that rests atop a couple cheap pieces of laser cut acrylic can be yours for only $349 Hurry while supplies last!!!
