(This is a copy and paste from my post over on Wololo - There's not many Vita users here, let alone PSTV users, but hey, that's okay)

So with the release of HENkaku, many of us are excited, especially myself since PSTV has support for this.

    The procedure is quite simple.

    What you will need
    -HENkaku (https://henkaku.xyz)
    -A PSTV
    -FileZilla
    -The whitelist file (https://www.dropbox.com/s/d6gef9cx07n7k ... a.dat?dl=0)

    1) Install HENkaku, the method is quite simple but in case you need a visual method you can view this:
(Dont let the errors worry you. They will be fixed soon enough.)

    2) Open the newly made Molecular Shell bubble and start an FTP session (hit select)

    3) Take the "list_launch_vita.dat" and place it on the desktop (easy access)

    4) Open FileZilla and connect to the PSTV (the IP to connect to and the port are displayed on the screen)

    5) Navigate to "ur0:game\launch\" in filezilla

    6) Drag and drop the "list_launch_vita.dat" over to the PSTV and overwrite it (feel free to back up the "list_launch_vita.dat" currently on the system and put it somewhere safe if you feel the need to)

    7) Close the FTP session on the PSTV (circle - or X depending on where you are)

    8) Insert your game card of choice that is not PSTV compatible without the whitelist

    9) Play the game

Awesome timing, I just got a PSTV to replace my brother's dying PS2. Now, I'm not at all up to date on Vita homebrew/hacks - whitelisting all the Vita titles is nice and all, but could Henkaku eventually allow to install custom PSX games (again)? PSX is what I bought the thing for, mainly, and obviously I'd much prefer to just use the CDs I already have if possible, instead of buying everything again.

Do you need a memory card to install Henkaku on the VitaTV?

Not sure about H specifically, but I earlier hacks didn't require one afaik and I can't see why this one should be different.

Of course it's riskier, since you can't just take out the card and do a "clean" reboot if anything goes wrong...

But all Vita TVs have it, which was what Niko asked about.

Edit: I goofed. You cannot use this (yet) off the PSTV's internal storage.

It doesn't install to internal memory even if you remove the card. Though I love this whitelist hack, hopefully we see a cfw so we don't have to reapply the hack each time we power down.

The app.db modification also works in place of this whitelist method, as there's 2 versions of it.

I don't really mind using in-memory patching until CFW will come.

Used this guide last night, much appreciated!

Crazy easy to do this now over FTP instead of over the email exploit.

Yes but v2 disables DLC and app updates. I have make a VPK for easier install without the need for FTP but the first time. I can switch between versions of the whitelist hack as well as quick profile switching and even merging content from two profiles into one. Like made a Euro account to grab the Vita media server thst isnt on NA PSN, grabbed it and merged into my NA account.

What problem do you run into? Does the MolecularShell installer refuse to do its thing, or what?

It acts like it's installing but doesn't.

This won't lock me out of PSN or ban me right? Should I just play it safe and only use this offline?
