I don't recall that opening scene over the sea. The final version opens with the future looking city back drop doesn't it? Yakumo
Sorry I meant to say Knuckles Chaotix not Sonic. This game was titled "Knuckles' Ringstar" I'll post more pics soon.
This is quite a find http://sost.emulationzone.org/chaotix/titlescreen/index.htm contains the only known paper info about this, I don't think a rom has ever been discovered or if it has its not widely spread. Edit: It'll be a beta release rather than alpha, as it is known that the Alpha contained Espio (the purple guy) as the lead character.
Love the colourful artwork. Nice! BTW The 'Welcome to the next level - in Super 32X world' seems to hint at the Japanese release.
I'd be interested in this! What sort of interest do you want in order to release this though? Enthusiasm? Flattery? Cash? =P
how many beta versions (or alphas) do you have for this title. I actually liked the game back in the day and still occasonally play it on my modded xbox. I would love to see releases for all the versions you have but as stated by GarethDE what kind of support do you want? I think its important just to release them for historical reasons. I mean if I had stuff like that I would be thinking, what if I die tommarow and my loved ones threw them out, or burned them or something like that. They would be lost forever.
Yeah, you definately have something special here (well from a sonic fan's point of view anyway). These have never been seen in the flesh before. Please tell me are they in Rom format or do you possess the cartridges?
maybe a donation type thing could be set up then as we have done in the past. I would love to see a archived release of all 13 versions you have. Do you have any documentation or anything else on them. And if you dont mind my asking how did you obtain all these if you dont have the carts for them? Thanks for your time btw.
Wow man. Great find! I have played the game several times and I have noticed quite a lot of differences. I'd love to see this released, but you're right. We should focus on that project first.
Wow, thanks for sharing the pictures! Those bonus levels look totally insane. Very cool indeed. Any chance of seeing pictures of the carts? I'm such a geek for proto carts. Also, are all 13 different builds, or are some duplicates?
This is very interesting. I have one prototype of it in cartridge form, a very early alpha of it, before it got converted to 32x. I would say the stuff together would be worth $750-$1300 together ($50-$100 for each proto). Nice find
drx: the version you're talking about plays in the genesis then? BTW, fore sure this is a big deal all protos deserves atention!
