Remove the NeoGeo section.

So true. Sometimes it feels like a religion.

 

Neo Geo should stay, it was rare but important then and it's rare but important now. Yeah it's unusual but it's a legitimate console with some great games and sold a decent, if not great amount.

 

Because there is some rotten apples in the section it shouldn't disappear. I have Neo Geo consoles AES and MVS and I prefer talk here than go to the NG forums and you know which I'm talking about.

 

Dion lurking around, spreading his BS, does give me a very uneasy feeling.

 

To be honest, I'm gathering information with a former SNK worker and he heard the name of the man about 2 years ago, he said to me that people at SNK never knew him.

I'm not 100% sure that he's the person he claims to be so I won't point fingers yet but as we know we have a member here that lives nearby Playmore today.
Let's hope we can clear this up.

 

Unfortunately I see this happening on a lot of the forums I frequent, it's not just here. Some of my favourite sites, like you said, were my homepage, one's I frequented hourly etc.., are now just pissing rings for immature childish morons. I have really started to notice it in the last year and a half. What is it? I don't know, but I don't like it either.

 

You and I may see through his shit, but I'm not sure if the rest of Assembler does or not and that's what makes me uneasy.

Apprenlty from what I've heard his whole scheme was to Buy up every US copy of certian neo geo games Destory the inserts and make his own, then resell them. I'm not sure if he converted carts into AES or MVS I haven't gathered that much.

I used to frequent the Neo Geo Forums myself and I haven't heard anything decent said about the man, and let me also state that in my experience most of the Neo Geo Community are assholes like childish 12 year old assholes north of 30 for for Dion to take the crown of king Neo Geo douche, that's really saying something. The Neo Geo Community is 99.9% the reason I am not an MVS owner.

I'd take anything you hear over there with a pinch of salt. I'm glad our neck of the woods isn't as bad, which is another good reason not to see our barely used Neo Geo subforum go.

 

I took a look at GoH's threads on N-G.com out of morbid curiosity, and while they were really bad, the responses were so fucking unfunny the only place where you'll see unfunny people trying as desperately to be funny is a Family Guy writers' meeting.

• SNK was a large, multi-national corporation with many departments. Your guy could have been a programmer. Why would he deal with Dion - a buyer?
• SNK Playmore is NOT SNK. It's a different company.
• People leave companies.
• I believe Dion only ever claimed to deal with SNK in Japan. Was your contact there? No? Well - that's why they haven't heard of him.
• Dion has/had artwork and prototype from SNK. FACT. He's shown us pictures. How did he get that, if not from SNK?

My vote would have been no, it should not be closed - had you decided to actually post a poll, which you're quite entitled to do, rather than make snide digs at Kevin and the way he runs the forum. And yes, it's HIS forum, his choice!

So:
1. Irritating Maze is not on the list, that version he's selling is counterfeit

2. The agreement only authorized redoing the inserts. Games marked as arcade only should keep arcade only.

He's not authorized to do what he claims to be. To me that's a scam, that guy is dangerous and he keep posting threads that exist elsewhere here.
Like the KOF2000 verification, that's only advertising to sell his products. He's only using this forum to gather more money.

The Aero Fighter 3 thread got closed before I did 2 posts of questions in a 10+ page thread.

But as I said it's not only about Dion, it's because the attacks this forum is getting lately and the amount of fight that happens in the section.
And as we can see it happens all the time people talk about NeoGeo just look above.

I'm not seeing Dion EVER listing a sale on this board - specifically not in your Irritating Maze thread. I'm sorry - Dion never has used this forum for scamming people. He's stated that he no longer sells. The only thing he linked to in your thread was his site's PRICE GUIDE. That's not a sale thread, it's a guide to what they think the games are WORTH!

 

This means: "PM because I can sell another copy that I can build in matter of an hour".
