Can you tell me whether 8M games are the same scheme than the 27C160?

Sorry I don't have any but if they're 42 PIN ROMs, most certainly are.

This is the programmer I was looking into getting since it's definitely an upgrade from the 32pin zif Willem I have and isnt going to break the bank. It has 48pin zif so it can handle all the different EPROMs that the Genesis uses.

You know, if they're 42 pins, you could probably use an older PC board's own BIOS eeprom flasher...

OLD PC BIOS chips are 32 pins (8bit eprom pinout), not 42....

Do you know of a schematic that has SRAM save feature? This is great for the general games without a save feature but not for games such as RPGs.

Gotta love how I butchered the title of this thread by adding an apostrophe to "ROMs"... At least now I know better :D

Id get the 480 over the 390. I know its a little more, but its a full "universal" 48 pin system, rather than the common pinout the 390 uses.

That is exactly the one I'm going for after looking at the specs and coming into some extra cash recently, I was looking through their site today and was going to get the 996 since it does Nand but it would cost alot more and not sure I need that right now. Just so I get all the correct adapters for the chips I want to burn I need some confirmation from you Bad_Ad. Saturn Bios chips use SSOP44 or PSOP44? Dreamcast Bios chips are PSOP44 or SSOP44?

    Hey Calpis,

I was wondering if you had the chip part number for a 40Mbit cart, I am doing a project where I want to place a RickRoll Demo into an authentic game cart as a prank but it needs a 40 Mbit chip.

    See here:

    Thanks,
