There were many american and british companies working with nazi germany, but thats for another thread. The point is that the Nazis were never "of the left", but the soviets and the maoist were indeed of the left side of politics, yet their ideological cleansings (like the "cultural revolution" of mao) killed more people than the Nazis, to the point that mao is considered the biggest genocidal in history, followed by stalin, and hitler in the 3rd place. What I'm saying is that the ultra-left can be as bad and even worst than that extreme right.... I meant the german kews were as white as the germans, so why did they killed them? for ideological reasons thats why. But the holocaust is the most recent case, and the first one when they were sistematically exterminated. I could also name the tutsi killings of 94 or the armenian one from WWI, since those were similar albeit smaller. it's absurd to assume the nazi party was left wing. for one, they imprisoned and murdered many on the political left, including communists. Mussolini was a fascist and Hitler was too (though their ideologies varied), and this brought them together as a common front. the party name was just a convoluted almagram of terms to get people's attention.
I think that by choosing that name the nazis created the misinformation-PR marketing thats so common nowadays. Like, big bad corporations that try to clean their image from the blood of all those murdered for profit, for example british petroleum that changed their name to beyond petroleum to sound more enviro and shit...

Well, actually, I read something interesting on this subject the other day - apparently, Hitler admired Mussolini in the beginning while Mussolini considered Hitler 'an idiot'. In fact, during the 1930's Mussolini was under the impression that he would have to take up arms against Germany eventually, and while the Anschluss loomed, he assembled his troops near the Austrian border. From what I recall it was the unexpectedly strong Allied opposition against Italy's invasion of Abessinia that drove him into Hitler's arms.
