It seems that a new Resident Evil 2 GBA video has been released.... Except this one includes Zombie Killing Action! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBHNtTNPzV0
The BlueRoses engine (used in the RE2 GBA tech demo) found a home in the Wing Commander: Prophecy port to the GBA. I had followed the engine when I first saw those RE tech demo shots among other things, sadly WC was the only game released that uses it. Blueroses could do thousands of polygons per second with cool features like texture animation and particle systems. I was really hoping it would have received more wide-spread use.
Tis' A Shame. I have never even heard of it until I read this topic. It seems like such a great engine for such a limited handheld device. Maybe they just finished finalizing their engine too late in the GBA's Life-span? :crying:
i wonder how much space all those jpg backgrounds would take ... maybe this is the problem of these games never got released ..
From a technical standpoint those two videos are amazing. I probably wouldn't have touched the GBC one with a ten foot pole, but RE:2? That looks incredible.
Check out the Metal Gear Solid video, along with a few others on youtube, all are using the same engine as the one used to make that RE2 tech demo
I already have Parris...;-) And thanks for the complement.. As they say, it takes one to know one. The lead artist is just waiting for his account acctivation on here so he may be posting some memories on the matter too;-) ;-) ;-) Anyway, back to work!! Bug testing... Oh what fun:banghead:
