RE4!!!! Or both, thre both very inexpensive, but RE4 is probably my favorite game ever next to Xenogears.
Anyways, just to give you guys the final update and some bragging rights. I finally did get RE0. I haven't started playing it, but in due time I definitely will. Believe it or not someone was having a going out of business sale on ebay, and the game was listed for 2 USD! so I bid on it, fully expecting to goto like 15$. But, suprisingly noone noticed the auction and I picked it up including shipping for 4$. and thats with the disc, case and manual are in perfect condition. So I got lucky . I was fully expecting to get ripped off when I paid. But, for 4$ I figured either I lose 4$ or I get a really good deal. and besides that whos gonna rip someone off for 4$. Seems kinda idiotic to lose your 98% feedback over 4$ So I did it and it arrived today And thats my RE0 story
Nice! I love when I win stuff on ebay like that. I've been wanting to play RE0 lately...I never beat it but got to disc 2. Game is pretty good. Too bad my Gamecube looks icky even on component because of this wierdo HDTV.
Um... I know this is an old topic, but I wouldn't even class RE4 as a survival horror game. It puts you in more or less complete control for the entire game, and there's always plenty of ammo; even when I played it through on hard I was killing everyone I came across without ever running too low. There are also far fewer "evil shit crashing through windows" moments. For me it was great, I don't think I've ever finished a more traditional survival horror game. I usually get about 6-10 hours in and get put off by the gameplay. I'm not really fond of genre names, but I suppose I'd go for action-horror instead for RE4.
Wtf? The controls for Biohazard 4 were much more streamlined from the previous games in the franchise....they weren't "tank like" in the least. Also, are you *gasp* admiting to having to use an action replay to complete this game? BH 4 is longer, but easier than the older games in the series..
Yes, I freely admit that. Using a cheat device for private play is my choice. Not everyone is able to play every style of game effectively, something that a lot of people and designers seem to forget. The controls were "better", but still horrid from a design perspective. Also, "tank" like controls are any control scheme where turning and movement (forward/backward) are separated. Every Resident Evil, even RE4, definitely qualifies.
Okay, well I can respect that. I also admit that I didn't make the connection of "tank like" being applied to games where turning and movement are seperated. That's something that's obvious that I happened to overlook. I see where you're coming from, but atleast we can agree that the change was an improvement. The melee attacks were a healthy addition, and while it has nothing to do with movement, per se, it's something I hope they keep and add onto in BH5.
