Well, I have been an addict to RTC since the beginning, and I have been reviewing this show since the first batch of shows. And when Yakumo-sama stopped making his RTC, there I had to cold turkey, and watch RetrowareTV :-( :-( :-(

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: which has always sucked, because they censor themselfs with beeps, WTF ? and well it annoyed me a lot, because their knowledge is really not up to date quite alot. Sorry, but I feel they suck major fucking arse. And then I saw TAVGN which was ok for a while, but it didn´t give me the same satisfaction as RTC. But it was a good "methadone" compared to the shite show, I mentioned. Then I began watching The Happy Video Game Nerd which was great for a while, but I missed something. And I know what it was, a man who spoke British English from Liverpool.
But I did find some good alternatives, on youtube which were reviewed by a man from Gibraltar, who spoke a lovely English. And he calls himself Dentolux and he has a fine English humour, and has Family in England. Then there was a German reviewer who called himself 2econd2tage/(SecondStage is the word) and he was great too. So a top three of reviewers of games in my mind are

    Yakumo-sama

    Dentolux

    and finally

    2econd2tage

the last two in the top five are The Angry Video Game Nerd and The Happy Video Game Nerd.

But RetrowareTV is the worst, period. But I still remember why RTC was made, it was because of Consolevania, which was filled with humour too, just like RTC is. And Yakumo-sama your humour still makes me laugh :)

Well, if you began making DVD RTC again, then I would buy it. So you could earn some extra quid that way.

Or else I would find the torrent versions of your TV shows. And I think i would be pissed, if you were censored while reviewing and playing the games.

Of course, there are a few more good game reviewers, but I can´t mention them all.

Actually, Retro Core was in the planning stages a long-time before Consolvania was even talked about. But things became rough around that time so the show was put on hold. It was Consolevania that inspired me to bring back my ideas though. So yeah, in a way Retro Core owes a lot to those Scottish bums  I wonder what ever happened to the Consolevania / Video Gaiden team?

I've always thought a Retro-Core t-shirt would be awesome to have. If you're ever hard up for cash it's an idea to consider :icon_bigg

Great news guys ! My microphone amp and mic arrived last night. The amp is such a lovely little silver box that looks right at home sitting under my webcam. Even does stereo plus all the plugs are gold plated. The retail cost was 6800 yen but I got this from Yahoo Auctions brand new for 5000 yen. Works a treat. I can even use SKYPE Phone to the UK now while not being near the PC unlike my old crap mic that I had to constantly hold to my mouth.

Just a heads up to let everyone know that Retro Core 2 Vol:2 will be available within the next 24 hours. There should be no more poor voice over issues now that I've got a whole new microphone set up so sound quality will be a lot clearer.

Featured in RC2 Vol:2 is a nice look at Chinese original Mega Drive games as well as some unlicensed Japanese Mega Drive games. Also featured is Auto Modellista US Tuned (Game Cube), Atomic Runner (Mega Drive), Rabbit (Saturn), Virus (Saturn), Gradius 3 (Super Famicom) and PC Engine CD's Dracula X.

Virus always seemed like an interesting game. Very Snatcher-esque, so to speak. Shame I can't understand a word of it. Look forward to the new episode. Noticed you didn't give out any ratings on the last one. Any reason in particular?

Fantastic! Some of the best gaming news this year. Love your RetroCore show and regularly watch the previous shows. Easily the best game related stuff on the Net. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work!

Bad news guys. I checked the show last night and stupid Ulead Video Tool Box never added Virus, Rabbit or the Chinese Dragon Ball game to the show even though they were in the list of files to be added. To top that off it put all the Mega Drive Chinese games in the wrong order! That's the last time I do stuff automatically.

Anyway, the show is now ready and just needs uploading to my server which I'll do as soon as I get home. I'll post here once it's ready for download. Just a shame it's a short show. Still, The Chinese Dragonball game and the two Saturn games will make it in to next months show which is already half complete.

Hmm, the reason I don't give scores anymore is pretty simple. Scores mean nothing in a show like Retro Core because you can see what's it's like and hear me bitch (most of the time) about the game. So I guess viewers can sort of make their own decision whether the game is any good or not. I could bring back scores though if people really wanted them.
