Retro Core Volume 2 is now completed and will be available from November 10th. The show is 362 Meg for the high resolution version with a running time of 1 hour. The show needs to be rared up so it possibly could be only 340 Meg to download. Medium resolution version will also be available. Not only is there a new Retro Core but also a Retro Core Saturn Shooting Special !! This show features almost all the Saturn shooters ever released. If you know it then it's probably on here. The show is 636 Meg in size but still needs to be rared so it could be smaller. The Saturn Shooting Special runs for 1 hour 10 minutes. I'll be making medium and low resolution versions too for the release. Yakumo
Because originally they were both together but the program ran for over 2 hours with a file size of 980 Meg !! That's far too long and far too big to download for most people. I could make it 700 meg but the picture quality would suffer. So that's why I split the two in to two shows. I'm sure that people who aren't really interested in shooters or "Shumps" as they are known, would be put off watching Retro Core 2 due to the amount of shooters featured. So two shows is probably the best way to go. Yakumo
Agreed. You won't get much compression out of RARing a divx/xvid, btw. 5-10mb per 700 in my experience.
Wow! Must see that! :smt023 BTW, yakumo, in what issue of Games TM is the article on Retro Core? I browsed a few issues in stores but no sign of it (unless it's not in the index)
I was told it would be in this issue (26) I'm waiting for them to update there site to see if it's added since I have no way of seeing the magazine in Japan. Yakumo
saw vol. 1 just now and must say it's really well done - took me a while even on cable. :smt023 can't wait for vol. 2 :-D
I didn't know about that. Still the more mirrors the better. As long as the show is still intact then I don't mind. I'll have to find out who is hosting it so that I can post mirror information. Yakumo
Well I can tell you the users name, but the thing is the ftp hes got is SLOW as hell(and it disconnects very easily), not only that, but its really for misc games(aka saturn and sega/mega cd) and such, but if you want to know the member is link343 just ask for him on the segaxtreme forums which is located at http://www.segaxtreme.net/
Looked in my work today (WHsmith) to see what the latest edition was - It was 25 as the newest edition, and i think it said the 2nd of dec the next issue came out. Will pick up a couple of copies for people when it's out if needed
Just been informed that my Retro Core interview is actually in this months GamesTM magazine (Issue 25) Can anyone do a scan of it, please rayer: Yakumo
