That's excelent, sabre470 ! Thanks so much. I'm sure that will help in getting more views. Actually, I was filming a bit today for the 5th volume in this series.

It will have a gun game on it. But that's all for now.

Hey Yakumo, do you think you'll do another series of Retro Core for a specific system like Retro Core SS? That was an excellent volume! but that might be because I love the Saturn so much haha

Of course, since nothing can match the Saturn! :biggrin-new:

I just hope I can learn enough Japanese someday to wander to the genre of JRPGs which the Saturn is famous for with the likes of Sakura Taisen (which I have bought for my JP Saturn but I can't even bring myself to play because of my horrific Japanese skills, but impulse buys make the world go round!)

I've always thought about doing a 3D fighting game special and 2D fighting game special since I own all of the fighting games for the Saturn. The problem is that I don't think I can find anything of interest to say about the many Capcom and SNK games. Maybe the 3D fighting special would come first since there are less of them. What would you guys like to see first? A Saturn 3D or 2D fighting special?

Sakura Taisen games are pretty good but unless you can understand the story there's not much to enjoy I'm afraid.

I'd say 3D because it'd be interesting how the development of 3D on the Saturn progressed, but it's up to everyone else, I'd be interested in both personally

Yeah that's what I thought so I got it for encouragement of sorts, but in anycase I got it pretty cheap and it came complete with the huge manual, poster and some card that also came with my copy of Sega Rally Plus.

I've never thought of the Saturn as being famous for RPGs, to me it's more like the system of 2D shooters and fighters.

ooh, the Saturn has hundreds of RGP / Adventure games. It's only not known because it didn't have Square and Enix onboard.

I say do an episode on 3D fighters.talk about the obscure ones like Savaki, and anarchy in the Nippon.

PS, Do you have the Saturn game "Sound Qube"? I can't find any info or videos of it and it is driving me crazy!

My vote would be for a 2D fighting special, since it seems like most of the 3D fighters are pretty well known, whereas I know there are lots of obscure 2D fighters.

I think most of the more obscure 3D fighters, like D-Xhird and Anarchy in the Nippon, have already been on Retro Core.

Yes, I have sound cube. It's an odd puzzle game by Human. I have it on my site www.segagagadomain.com

Indeed they have. I really need to make a database of what games are on what shows.

Nice episode. I wonder why your Super Famicom looks so good on the Framemeister. My Super Famicom looks like crap over RGB - barely better than composite. It has nothing to do with my monitor or my cables, because other consoles look great on it. Also, I've used the same cable on my SNES and N64 and they look great. I guess maybe different versions of the SFC had different video quality? I don't know.
