This is great, considering I don't have to buy Rez or Ikaruga for the DC now. The only thing we need now is a release date.

    I love XBLA...
I've been playing Puzzle Fighter, Alien Hominid, Sonic, and of course Geometry Wars. I can't get enough of these games.

And now we're getting some GREAT shooters!

How big would Shenmue's download be? I mean, 1 Xbox disc could handle Shenmue II, but I am sure it would be a huge download (Granted, it would be about the size of a demo being downloaded).

Not exactly: Rez is like 200-250MBs, which is almost half than most PSP games, and way less than most demos which are around 700MB most of the time.

I say Shenmue would be around 3GBs, since it was 3GDs large, but I doubt MS will ever release it on XBLA.

I'm already surprised MS will take the time to emulate Rez on the X360, why would they do the same with a title like Shenmue which was a financial quagmire?

I think the arcade game size limit is 150MB, and someof them can be bigger if theres a good reason or something.

Then Rez is already off limits, but it may be spared.

Yet I doubt they'll allow shenmue in, since with its 3GB size its almost a standard X360 game...

True, although games on Xbox Live seem to be progressing. First it was all very old arcade and casual PC games like Bejeweled, then it was more newer arcade games and ports of Genesis games. Then it was simple 2D games like Symphony of the Night, and now it is simple, but still recent games like Rez. I wouldn't be surprised if they increase the download limit to 500 MB at some point.

Treasure once said in a interview that when they bring a game back to life (classic games, to new consoles), they also try to keep the hardcore fans happy. Since Radiant Silvergun is such a highprofile and collectors item, they probally won't re-release it... just to keep the fans happy.

About Ikaruga; the game WILL feature a TATE mode :)

I'm pretty sure that Rez, EEE and Ikaruga wont be emulated but ported/re-written for the XBLA.

Well that's just freaking elitist! Treasure is just trying to keep happy people who spent $150+ for their game! I mean, forget even trying to expose the majesty that this game is and acquire more players and fans. NOPE! SORRY! Radiant Silvergun doesn't deserve that! Let's just lock the game away, shall we?

Heck, I'm not paying that much for a game, so I'd love to see it on Live Arcade.

(I'm not implying you're all stingy people who don't share either.)

Can we just call the 360 the Dreamcast 2 now?

Good news for XBLA. It'll be good to play Ikaruga on the 360 (if the price is right).

Sounds really good to me since this is what XBLA needs some good games that will last because at the moment looking at most XBLA games there just small games to keep playing for a couple of minutes before switching off. Sweet news for me I will probably end up buying them all :p Wasn't Ikaruga seen on partnerNET like a year ago?
