Rumor: PartnerNet Bricking Kits?

My dead XNA prototype that I took online knowing there was a high chance it'd brick says otherwise to everyone thinking all the bricking is bs.. Because it's got a nice little 0022.

I just saw sonic 4 ep1 on a torrent tracker and in the title it said PNET... Then wonder why china got hit first...

 

What you haven't seen it before? I had pics posted somewhere before, it's a black case I got it in, black/blue sidecar and such..

I'll look for pics on my PC tomorrow cause right now I took it out of it's case so it's sitting in the metal tin so I could see where the special cable for the 1GB of RAM goes, a pic wouldn't look too nice right about now ;P.

 

Then people wonder why theres leaks everywhere and all the kits are being bricked. Selling things to kids isn't going to help things.

It's a very real situation, just look at the chinese forum, they've had dozens get bricked.

I've seen a decent number of people outside this forum get hit too... So you guys can deny it all you want, but that won't make this shit just magically not affect you and simply dissapear into thin air.

Seems like the holocaust all over again. There's more than enough proof that it existed, and you're free to deny it all you want, but in the end you're just going to be making a fool out of yourself.

So three weeks later, no one i know - thats exactly 17 people with kits - has gone down. All of them have been on pnet, have downloaded, have been playing Reach Beta, some of them on 11164. All these are supposed red flags according to people here.

I've only ever heard of this happening on forums.

Show me some real proof/evidence of this

No, it's not.

This thread is about discussion of what has happened and trying to find a solution and proper cause. If you don't believe this is happening, go on with your life, just don't spam up this thread with pointless requests for proof.

I also think the mods should infract/ban people that are constantly coming here asking for people to prove it to them. It's really annoying.

 

Something else to keep in mind we are still not 100% sure how MS is going by and deciding who gets bricked. Your 17 friends might have all bought their kit from someone that hasn't got listed yet.


With that said, Yes, sometimes you must play devils advocate. At the same, you must consider that we are talking about Microsoft.

 

As I always say, you have been warned. Its up to you to decide if its worth the risk. If you have or have not been hit is irrelevent the decision is up to you and in the end its about what you believe and if your willing to take the risk. Not much else should be up for debate.
