Things like this usually stem from cases where a homeowner shoots a guy in the back as he's running away or something. No jury would convict you for killing an intruder, if you thought your life was in danger.

GoH used to make personal threads like this and thats part of the reason he isn't well liked around here. PART of the reason.

 

I thought this thread brought up some interesting discussions and concerns. I in no way thought that it would be a portal to hate on this forum if I did I wouldn't have posted it. Take it for what you will, I was just sharing experiences on my free time off work. I spend most of my days on assembler since this is where I made most of my buy/sells/modifications/ect. I didn't think I was imposing by sharing a personal experience, sorry if it came off that way I won't make future threads like this?

 

Well, I wouldn't say imposing, but threads like these gave GoH a reputation. Then again, the threads got a lot more personal than this, and GoH knows the saddest people.

You sure about that? I've read plenty of threads on here and elsewhere that teh drama is created by one person only, but others can't help but post attempts to calm / resolve the situation. Doesn't matter if you post, these dramatic people sprout like mushrooms and feel compelled to post & post & post.

lllsondowlll, sounds like a rough experience you went through. However, I'm inclined to say your story isn't a 100% accurate. I highly doubt anyone is stupid enough to try to steal a piece of hardware or software from your home with you there. Even though that site is full of rather immature people, I doubt an administrator of all people would pull something like that.
