Bubsy that game bothered me so much! Even though Bug! Isn't a gem, it looks a lot better. When you rock the d-pad left and right the camera has a spaz attack, makes me feel sick. Not sure if anyone else had that problem with Bug!
I have to check bug out now. Even though it's developer has a horrible track record http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realtime_Associates
I liked Crusader: No Remorse and Maniac Mansion on PC. Then again, it's not like they did anything for those games besides porting them.
And Warlock has its great, unique atmosphere, don't remember about gameplay, only that it was very interesting game. I think anyone who shit on developer didn't even play a half of their games.
Nope, warlock looked good but was dull as dish water, Aaah Real Monsters was dull and crusader was a port. So I stand by my opinion
Crusader was awesome. I wish someone would incorporate those guns into a FPS. Especially the "turn them inside out" gun. Always had fun deciding how I wanted some characters in that game to die.
Didn't Animal Crossing on the Gamecube use the system clock to simulate the day/night cycle in a similar fashion? You could always circumvent events by setting the system clock ahead though...
It did have something like that but I was under the impression that it was based upon the game clock, not real life time. I could be wrong though. Importaku would know for sure. maybe he can comment on that? Yakumo
Yes it did. I think the DS version does the same thing. I really need to give Animal Crossing a proper chance. I own the damn game. I've only played a little bit, but I thought it was pretty interesting. It vaguely reminded me of Shenmue in that it's a kind of life-simulator, and it often requires you to do mundane, everyday kinds of tasks. Animal Crossing can also detect if you've set the time backwards (i.e. before the last save), and if you do it a certain number of times, something happens. There are also lots of games that mark the time that you saved a game, but it has no effect on gameplay. Shenmue and MGS2 are examples of this.
Yeah, now I feel like an idiot for not getting it in the GOG.com sale for $2.99. I wouldn't say AC is like Shenmue at all. Then again, there's really no other game that's similar to AC, it's very different compared to everything else out there.
