works every time, handy if you even brick your shark as the chip is still flashable even if you flash none working software to it, so you can jump back and forth as much as you like.

Yes it's really nice to be able to boot backups and Japan originals without swapping and stuff. Here's a question - can I flash the Gameshark cart with any of the other cheat firmwares on the Pseudo disc?

    Great :)
A while ago, I had many troubles when I wanted to dump my Game Shark firmware, so I understand your pain while trying to flash it.

It should boot (at your own risk), but you probably won't be able to use Action Replay game save manager and/or commslink functions.

I still cant flash my Gameshark cart even with cafealpha's flasher. When I get a chance I'll probably make a quick video to show you what I'm running into if that helps.

Try the ATLUS disc instead found here, orcanaoftime was having issues with the GameShark also but managed with that disc

PS031.BIN is the last released version of PSEUDO (I typo'd the file name but that is version 0.831)

If for some reason it is still not working boot the disc without the cart inserted and insert the cart after the disc boots, but before launching the Memory Card Manager (MMM)

the packed PSEUDO flasher disc for version 0.831 though has issues to start with, so if you flashed with that it is likely bricked now but can be restored if you boot the ATLUS disc before inserting the cart

What is the issue with my flasher disk and Game Shark ?
Please let me know so that I can fix my utility :)

Also, you can remove/insert cartridge before my flasher asks to press Start button, just after displaying title line.

As you probably already know, the Gameshark cart has to be set just right in the cartridge slot for it to be recognized by the Saturn. What I do is insert it and push all the way down, then pull it up a bit.

Maybe this will help - I took a pic so you could see where the Gameshark ends up sitting in my Saturn:

Ive tried ATLUS, Cafe's and the original flasher to no avail. I'll setup my HDPVR for capture later this weekend. I also had the GS Cart up a few cm and not totally flushed in.

Yes though it used 16 bit execs so you need an OS that can launch those like XP via the official built set found at http://www.rockin-b.de/saturn-atlas.html

Heres a video of what Im running into. Forgive me on the Double Audio..this was a quick and dirty upload to show you guys what Ive been running into. The cart is raised up a few CM from the port base, much like orcanaoftimes's picture shows.

Ah OK, so it is just a mechanical issue. Hence it is common to both Atlas/Flasher/whatever :)

    Your flash chips are recognized as vendor/device = 0101/2020 → AM29F010.
Unfortunately, I didn't (couldn't) test erase/write operations for this chip, so I need to verify if everything is OK around theses.
If possible, can you send a picture of your Game Shark PCB so that I can verify flash chip type ?

    From PM :

Making Atlas iso won't change anything, because your flash chip is unrecognized by existing flasher utilities.
Please provide a picture of your Game Shark PCB so that I can verify the model of your flash chips.

Front and Back of the Cart PCB? I'll see what I can do and take a pic of them ASAP.
