    AMD IC is flash memory.
There are 2 flash chips (the second one is hidden under ceramic capacitor), because their data bus is 8 bits wide, and Saturn data bus is 16 bits wide.

    You're welcome ♪
Actually, write/erase operations for your flash chips (SST29LE010) are the same as the existing ones that were already defined in flasher utility (SST29EE010), so it was just a matter of a couple of lines to add to source code.

Thank you. I could verify that your chips model is matching what the utility is detecting.
I will verify erase/write behaviors with what's written on AMD datasheet. Please wait, it may take some time (and motivation too :) ).
I will contact you by PM when a beta will be available for testing.

Guess I have a Memory Card Plus myself that is the exact PCB my Memcard has, I got it second hand with no sticker on the shell so from the PCB being "DATEL" I assumed it was actually by the DATEL that make Action Replay's so never thought is was an EMS product.

I think these carts are a bit sucky though trying to get them to read in the Saturn, one of my Saturns isn't bad but the other one it takes ages of messing round to get it to read, yet the AR+ reads perfect in both, but the PCB is thicker on the Memcard Plus vs the Action Replay Plus (It's the modern version I have, that lacks the Serial port)

    I think it says:

Where do you want to save?

    Internal RAM
    Cartridge RAM
    Don't save
