Those look like OTP EPROMs. So you can't reprogram them.

    Thank you vbt :)
It seems that total size is 64KB/chip * 2chips = 128KB, which is not enough for latest Pseudo Saturn firmware (129KB ...).

No problem, sorry for the lack of explanation on first time.
Please let me know if you could flash your cartridge with the latest utility.

Yeah, in fact compressing firmware (and decompressing on startup) helps, but honestly, I don't want to support cartridges smaller than 256KB, especially when a lot of features still need to be debugged/added.
And as it is for you, I can make small discount to Pseudo Saturn USB dev cart ;)

ok, it doesn't matter, it could have been a good way to reuse "useless" st-key.

any way to update current dev cart ?

Based on the photo of the PCB, it's not flashable anyway - those chips are OTP EPROMs.

I lost a little time because of the use of the latest compilers, but I've just merged the USB stuff from existing firmware.
When I was away from home last month, I added code for a new feature, and I'm finally ready to start debug about it :)
Also, I populated 2 boards, plus other incomplete, because I'm lacking of ICs.

    Some features [IMG]
Nothing work, so I can't say what it is about.

None of the flashers seem to work with my Action Replay 4M Plus (4M + 1M)

Flash Vendor ID : BFBF - SST
    Flash Device ID : 1010 - SST29EE020

Pseudo default flasher goes to 6100% and fails.

cafealpha2's 20140902 tries to write 00000800 pages then says "write verification failure!"

Atlus flasher doesn't let me format or copy any files to it. Shows up as having "0.0" memory left.

I've burned multiple errorless CD-Rs in imgburn, and tried the cart in a Model 1 US and Model 2 JPN Saturn, nothing seems to work :( Did I brick it? I have another AR 4M Plus, but I'm afraid to try it.

Hmmm you sure you are using atlus flasher correctly? The "doesn't let me format or copy any files to it" doesn't seem relevant.

Re-Flash with Atlas you used it incorrectly last time, that is all. I will post instructions later tonight after work, got an 11.5 hour shift to get through and I'm posting this just before I have to go to work

Either that or make sure you have the latest flasher by cafealpha2 as it should work

You guys were right, I was doing the Atlas flasher incorrectly. Here are the proper steps for anyone as uninformed as I:

    1. Put Atlas disc into Saturn, unplug the Cartridge, turn on the Saturn
    2. At the blue Atlas "bouncing memory cart" screen, insert your Cartridge
    3. Press Start
    4. You should now be at a black and white screen detailing all the button functions for Atlus save manager, Press Start
    5. Navigate the file menu with up and down on the D-pad and press A to open the FIRMWARE folder
    6. Navigate to PS031.bin, Press Start
    7. Press Down on the D-pad until you get the * asterisk to "flash Action Replay"
    8. Press A, Press A again to confirm
    9. follow the instructions on screen and flash the Cartridge
    10. Enjoy your newly flashed cart!

These steps worked for me! I flashed back to ARP 2.02C just fine with Atlas. Then I tried to flash PS 0.831 from cafealpha2's flasher and it had a write verification failure again. So I opened Atlas again and flashed PS 0.831 from there and it works great! Seems my ARPlus 4in1 doesn't like cafealpha2's flasher :( I don't know why.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys!

hobbla, can you try to insert cartridge just before my flasher prompts for pushing START button ?
This should give same results as with Atlas flasher, but if it doesn't, it would mean that there is something wrong with my flasher.

What version is the flasher by cafealpha2 that you are using

P.S. Sorry I did not post the instructions, I was just shattered last night after work.

Is it Atlas or Atlus ? lol

Atlus is a company which DOES make games for the Saturn so please don't make these things be confusing ... lol

Nope, still getting write verification error when I insert the cart after the initial prompt screen comes up. Using flasher_20140902.

Hi guys, first of all, sorry for my english.

Well, I flash my Action Replay 3 in 1, using cafealpha2 iso, not a single problem in the process, but in the end, I received a failed message, reset my Saturn, and the action replay seems not work anymore. I tried to reflash, but I got this message.
