I open all the shrink wrapped games I get. But I collect blister pack Master system games, these are the type you can only get into with scissors or a knife..
Nice. I have a sealed PD Saga in one of those blister packs, and another copy which is just sealed with the stickers. I quite like my sealed games tbh, but generally only saturn (99% jp), pce and marty. I've got quite a good collection for pce and saturn, many of the 'rare' titles in flawless new condition . Of course I have open copies for nearly all the sealed stuff I own too, I tend to only go sealed on games I really like, and a few collectibles... Sadly most is boxed away but here's a few of my personal specials I keep easy to hand in case of an emergency of some sort (financial or fire say). Really chuffed with the pce titles as on the odd occasion you see them they always have a minor flaw (rucking on the manual, marks, decaying seal glue et), these 3 are perfect. The Darxide is signed by David Braben too.
So how much would that all be worth (avarage sort of ebay price?). My Master System ones I don't think are worth much really, The most I payed was for the T2 on the bottom row in the middle, it's shrink wrapped and blister packed and I got it from another collector for £30. Usually the rest are between about £10 and £25 on ebay but Ive seen a few go for more.
Who knows. You'd need to find someone who wanted them. I wouldn't really Ebay many/any if I had to sell them, more private deals with collectors I know. The Darxide is the clear winner price wise though. But the above are more my personal faves. I have other sealed games that cost/sell for more than some above but are easier to find (eg Drac X pce). Above represents personal triumphs I guess, they're a mare to find to my exacting standards. (The Eyeful has a crack in the front sadly but you never see it sealed so meh!)
I wouldnt want to ebay any of mine, or sell them at all for that matter. My fave is perhaps Sonic as I don't think there would be many sealed copies still about of such a fantastic game.
@wheelaa Wow, what a selection O_O Is that Delisoba Deluxe sealed as well? Where did you get them, yahoo? I believe you must have a good deal because the japanese price for those three hibaihins in sealed condition is very different from what western collectors want for them. 45-60'000 and 95'000 for Delisoba is the current sealed course in Akiba... but as you said, there's rarely somebody who really wants to spend such a lot of money instead of buying 5 or 10 semi-rare games that are actually playable! And whats in that envelope beneath the blister-PDS? ps: Why didn't you remove that shinpin-sticker?^^
DD is sealed, all the games pictured are new. The white thing is the reservation letter for Magical Chase. Its the second run that PC Engine Fan released. The sticker is just on the outer baggie, don't worry ;-) I'm drawn to the SoR2 lol. They all look good tbh. Is the card cut through at the back so you can see the rear of the case through the plastic, or is it card all the way? Not much you can do with sealed stuff, just enjoy owning it really.
That's great wheelaa (as always ^_^). I was wondering if you collected lots of PAL games or just difficult to collect ones like Darxide?
I guess the SoR2 is the rarer game, along with T2 and Daffy Duck. Yes the cardboard is cut through at the back ao you can see the screenshots, description and barcode etc. The Trivial Pursuit at the back is in a Prism Leasure blister, I think they still release budget DVD's in the UK.
I am incapable of keeping things sealed. If I wanted to live in a museum and stick everything behind glass with large "Don't touch!" signs I would slowly go mental. It's there to be enjoyed! I am also the type of person to think "What if it's not actually in the box?"
Here's one of my favourite 'sealed' games...Fuzion Frenzy for the Xbox. Yep you might be saying "Not the most exciting game in the world"...But there is a personal reason for the choice...Fuzion Frenzy was the 1st Xbox game to officially pass certification. The disc in the foreground is the release candidate submission, and the sealed game marks the evolution from 'nothing' to the launch of the Xbox and so forth to the present day.
here my sealed PC (PC-FX) games: btw: i'm not a sealed collector. just found some of them here and there for a good price. of course, most of them i own as an opened version as well
