Not quite. There's still quite a lot of games missing, such as Mass Effect; Turok; Endwar; Quantum Of Solace; Viking; Assassin's Creed; Two Worlds etc... There's Also lots of variations (Eg, HMV, PLAY.com, and GAME may have all had exclusives on a particular release) that I haven't gotten around to getting - I believe that including all variants, there's around 70+ LE's / CE's available for the X360 here in the UK! There certainly is a market for exclusive editions here!

Also not shown (And I often forget about it) is the Tony Hawk's Project 8 skateboard box set which is limited to 1,000. Come to think of it though, it's more of an additional extra rather than a box set, even though the skateboard and box are emblazoned with Tony Hawk's Project 8 logos and other such writings, but the game actually came strapped to the front, so I don't really count it as a CE as such.

Yes, there's about 165 sealed Dreamcast games; Over 130 sealed PS2 games; And around 100 sealed PlayStation games in the cabinets behind.

Gemini-Phoenix those cabinets look really sweet, and even more with the sealed games inside :love2:

You should put all your sealed games collection in an underground vault-like museum  Just in case the world comes to an end or so, you'd be preserving a nice piece of history :110:

Awesome stuff, do you have an extra copy of every game ? (in order to play them) if not, tell me how do you manage not to rip off those sealed games :eek:h: !

Thanks! They're from Argos, and seem to be adequate for what I wanted. I have five double units and a taller but slimmer unit for the PlayStation games. They were actually some of the largest units I could find for such a large collection, without having to buy actual bookshelves which woul have been a waste of space due to their depth. The main reason for choosing them though is because they had glass doors which minimised the amount of dust behind them, which is minimal to start with as the room is very rarely entered. The original plan was to try and stack two similar units to create floor to ceiling cabinets permanently fixed to the wall, but unfortunately the room was two inches shorter than two cabinets stacked, and because of the glass doors being a fixed length, the units could not be cut down. Besides, it would not have been practical, although it would have looked amazing!

I personally like how it makes the units look uniformed and everything is hidden behind the semi-frosted glass panes. Since the pictures were taken I later decided to move all my Wii and DS games into the same cabinet as the PS2 games which gives a very clean and crisp display of white spines. I especially like the way the PlayStation and Dreamcast games look neat. Unfortunately the Dvd's and some games just look a mess as they all have different coloured spines - The GameBoy games especially as they don't have spines as such and have to be stored in a peculiar way in order for the game title / logo to be seen clearly

The shelves above the units were a last minute decision. I needed something that looked good yet offered adequate storage space for the larger items such as box sets and various LE's / CE's. When my Steelbook Dvd collection was much smaller they occupied one of these shelves (As shown in the pics) but I soon found that their weight caused significant bowing and so had to find a suitable home elsewhere - As the collection rapidly grew I decided the only place for them was on the tops of the units which were structurely secured and firm enough to carry such a weight.

The glass shelves are there merely to break up the display wall and to form a sort of centralised feature, hence the various display items. The whole concept for the room was to make it look modern and well organised. I also wanted to create a room that was aesthetically interesting to look at as well as functional. My primary concern was protecting the games from dust and also accidental damage. The room luckily faces North and the curtains always kept shut so to prevent sun-fading of the spines which was another concern of mine. I think it turned out quite well, but I fear I am running out of space as the collection grows...

Thanks, i'll consider it! Lol. My collection is indeed mostly preservation. Obviously I am always aware of things such as rarity; Demand; Value etc, but I collect purely for the enjoyment of collecting, and not to make a profit sometime in the future. The thrill is in the hunt, not the capture so they say.

I have always said that I would not sell any of my collection, and if I did then I would sell it as a whole to another collector who I know would expand on it rather than split it for profitable gain. If I do sell anything it's usually because I can spare it (Ie, I have a duplicate copy in better condition) or simply because it doesn't meet my standards and would rather sell an item to someone else who might appreciate it more or make better use of it. I know there are collector's here who buy sealed NES / SNES games as an investment with the sole intention of selling them on at some point at a higher price. That is not why I collect, but if the value of certain items does increase then that's just a bonus.

I also wouldn't consider my collection as Huge, at least not compared to some classic collections seen here on ASSEMbler or DP, but mine is rather miniscule! In comparison though, mine is just a random selection of games I like, rather than an entire set of this or entire set of that (With the exception of my N-Gage and Dreamcast games which I did start to collect with the aim of a complete set). I have various sub-collections simply because they are games I like and it's just coincidence that inevitably they form a sub-set, but I wouldn't actively seek out duplicate copies or different versions from other regions to expand the sub-collection, although that would be nice given the time

In some instances, certain games are playable via various forms of emulation (Ie, DS games), but I will still seek out and buy the games for the console because I enjoy the collecting more than the actual playing. If anything, emulation has forced me to seek out more games as I have played some that I enjoyed and want to add it to my collection! So a plus point there in favour of emulation actually doing some good to the industry!

As for the other games, a lot I borrow from friends after they are finished with them, although this usually means I have to wait a few months to play the latest 'Must have' game - Although this doesn't bother me as I don't feel compelled to play games as soon as they are released due to time constraints. Others I am still awaiting to play (Like the X360 games) I will no doubt get around to playing as soon as I have invested in a console - In the case of the X360, I am waiting for a suitable console that isn't prone to RROD (Having had my heart broken by the Dreamcast in a similar way too many times before), therefore these games will have to wait a while. Like I said at the start of the post though, the fun is in the collecting rather than the playing, and the games are there for whenever I do inevitably decide to play them (If ever, but at least they're there for me to make that decision!)

Sorry for such a long post guys - I had so much to say and it all seemed relevant! I promised to share more pics of more of my collection at a later date. I only have around 1,200 games, but of those around 800 are sealed, so it's quite unique (although fails in comparison to some of the other collections such as Adol's sealed collection!)

As always, very impressive Adol. And you've played the majority of the titles you have sealed I assume.

Lemmings and DS did come sealed, or at least I have both sealed like any other Lynx game.

I thought you sold the NGCD stuff?

No,still have them,i sold extra copies, but still have factory sealed NGCD collection. Anyway, 100 titles aren't that hard to get.

I'll try to locate those last Lynx games then, wasn't sure if they exist as sealed.

    I played at least 75% of them yes.NGCD 100% for sure ^^
But i think i played 90% of my SFC/MD/MCD/Neo/NGCD/32X/PCE/SMS stuff (8-16 bits era) back at the time...as many people here, since i'm getting older (near 30) i have less time to play...but i always enjoyed 8-16 bits games ^^

Ah fair play. I think the NGCD set is quite easy sealed apart from 2-3 titles..the KoF98 Special Box (that's just a sticker isn't it?), the KoF96 collection and the KoF95 Special (although is that really part of the set? it is for me, but some people say it isn't)

Re the rest..being young was so great. All those wonderful games. Its great now though too, I do love the 360, but time as you say is much much less.
