Sega Germany Dreamcast Pre-Launch Press Disc

Hey,

As mentioned in another topic I recently found out that some of my discs were literally rotting and falling apart. While backing them up I found this CD:

Sega Germany Dreamcast Pre-Launch "Press Data and Material".

I decided to RAR it all up and put it up here for people who are into Sega stuff and dont have all of this yet. (Scroll down for download links - 550 MB)

It's a CD full of documents, images, pictures, artwork, logos about the Dreamcast and some of the European launch titles. The disc was given to press members, especially magazines before the European Dreamcast launch.

It mainly includes extremely high resolution images of logo types, or even the original photoshop layers or eps vector source files for them, which allows you to have some fun like here:

I had to upload to rapidshare, since currently I have no unlimited bandwidth to host the full cd on my own server. If anyone does not want to download the whole cd but wants to checkout some files from it (see directory listing above!) just drop a line here and I'll get you only the files of your interest.

Hope someone besides me enjoys this one. If not, I at least have an online backup of the disc before it falls apart now :clap:

It will let you download the others, but for the free downloads, there is a four hour wait between downloads if you meet or exceed the maximum size per download.

lots of backround image material. especially the hi-res artwork

 

Sadly I don't have any pre Playstation era material left. Most of the docs for the megadrive probably came printed instead of on a disc

I do however have similar discs to this one from the German XBOX launch and I think also Gamecube. If there is interest I could upload those as well.

 

Are the CD label and cover insdie the rar? If not could you scan and upload 'em?

The only good feature of my connection, I don't have to wait to download the next part. I just disconnect and reconnect and I get a new IP so I can start with the next part ;-)

There is no label nor cover to this. Its been sent out on regular cdrs (yes, not even re-used saturn ones like earlier docs :katamari
I dunno if there is a first batch of this that was pressed or had labels/covers, but i doubt it, since information was changed quite frequently on the disc according to the timestamps.

 

I have it downloaded, it will be up on my site in the next day

 

I got a disc like this at home aswell with many high res images and stuff. Don't know all the contents from out of my head now, but I remember that it was a labeled disc, and It had a number (like #3 or so).
It also comes with that Style Guide and Crazy Taxi/Sonic/other Images, it's mostly the same I guess. Maybe I can compare it laters.
