there seem to be a few interesting things in this disc.
THere is a steering wheel controller shown in the hardware section I can't say I remember the DC having one. It also shows a Dreameye but its a european one and the colors are different.
In the games section it has press material for games that weren't released until far into the lifespan of the DC but there are almost no differences between these and final shots.
Finally it even depics games like DeeDeeplanet which was never released because of some fatal flaw.
There are a lot of interesting things on this disc its almost hard to believe its prelaunch. Seems more like after launch/during

Well, remember it's the European launch press kit. By the time Europe received the Dreamcast it had already been out in Japan for nearly a year plus the year or so developers had with the SDKs before the Japan launch.

The steering wheel pictured is the official wheel. There were actually several wheels in addition to the official one (Interact V4, MadCatz Dream Wheel, MadCatz MC2, Ferrari wheel, and maybe one or two more I'm forgetting.).

I don't think a European Dreameye was ever released. It looks like the Japanese one without the battery compartment. I also think the VMU microphone adapter is blue in the final version.

I didn't know that the European kiosks could be linked together with shelves like that. That's pretty cool.

Great PSO / Soul Calibur / Sonic artwork too!

Thank you for uploading this. Awesome stuff.

I'd be surprised if this disc really is from the launch period, as there are many games included that weren't even covered in the official magazine back then (such as Daytona USA 2001, Ecco The Dolphin, Extreme Sports, Headhunter and Sonic Adventure 2 to name just a few). Besides, if it was from around that time then where are the high resolution stage renders from Virtua Fighter 3tb that were featured on the German site, not to mention images of the Sega Rally 2 prototype I can also remember finding on there as well?

Ive done some more research, It seems there were atleast 4 revisions of this disc. 2 of them from after the launch period (including this one) Checking the filestamps it seems this one was mastered march-april 2000 (around 5 months? after the actual European DC launch).

Whatsoever, glad everyone enjoys them

What is the CD label that you read when you put it in a cd drive? (something like SEGA_CD or whatever)

Just wanted to know it to have the CD as original as I can.

    Thank you very much!
