I think he meant to make sure he's running the right version of the emu for what he has. Which is a good plan. I remember when I used to play Battlefield 2142, I had to alt+tab out and set the BF2142.exe process's affinity to use one core, otherwise it would be unplayably slow. I think they fixed it shortly after, and I also ended up just making a batch file to run the game so I didn't have to change it any time... but yeah. Non-optimized programs working against multiprocessors/multithreading can be pretty crazy, but on the other hand if the attract screens were running fine I'd think the rest would, too.
yes, that's what I meant. Tonight I'll make a video of it running just to show you how crazy it gets.
if you get the arcade vga video card supports 15Khz Arcade Monitors http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainf.html
Here's the video showing how Sega Touring Cars really messes up on my system. As you can see the opening is perfect but the main race...... It's a big file since it's direct from my digital camera - www.segagagadomain.com/model2-touring.MOV The file size is 217mb Yakumo
Just to see if I got the same problem I threw the game up...I seem to be the opposite for some reason the game seems to be running faster than it should be.
Then it's got to be an emulation issue. Seems strange that everything else is pretty much spot on perfect yet that game (the one I really want to play) is messed up.
what OS are you using? It saw touring car is a Model 2c game. On my XP machine Model 2c Games ran slow
my PC can emulate a PS3 at twice the framerate, true story could you please post your specs Yakumo? I m almost tempted to benchmark the emulator myself (is there a wheel compatibility? I d love to hook up my G25)
sarcasm...............................................:Girl:my PC is 1024bit and was custom made by my uncle to fit inside a shoebox.
He probably meant PS2, and thats only true for certain games (Edit : Or not, realized Im an idiot. Too tired lol)
When they do emulate the PS3, all those games that only run at 720p will actually run at 1080p, just like their xbox 360 equivalents! I'm not system hating, I have both a 360 and ps3, but the fact that a 360 game runs at 1080p and the equivalent ps3 version at 720p has bugged me.
I'm on XP Pro with the latest service packs and Direct X. Sure, it's a single core P4 2.8Ghz processor with 1.5 GB of memory and ATi graphics card with 512MB memory, 4.1 shading tech, some sort of filters to allow a PC to display Blue Ray just as good as a high end Blue Ray set up, or so they say. And so on. my PC is powerfull enough to play full High Def video perfectly even though the main CPU isn't that powerful. Yakumo
You have slightly more memory than my other Machine but a slower processor (3ghz single core P4) and the other difference is an ATI Card where as mine is some no name Nvidia compatable card. So it's almost the same set up with just about the same problem.
