HI,friends:cur_sonic: I found a Frenchman sale a SEGA neptune in EBAY http://cgi.ebay.fr/Console-sega-nep...euxvideoconsoles_Consoles&hash=item4aab99001e But I think it is a fake, is DIY Because SEGA neptune should be black And should not have "USA JAP PAL" the toggle button
And a Neptune would never come with an old-style 3 button Sega controller. Yeah, it's a fake... and a bad one at that. That's not even what a Neptune looks like.
I hate the way EBay pictures are so shiity and small. Do you have to pay extra or something to list large pictures?
That's the biggest fail I've seen in a while Model 2 megadrive, paint it blue. It's a Neptune! Adding a bit more flavor to ASSEMbler's post
From what I've read the Sega Neptune was never anything more than just a few prototype production models and they never had anything on the inside!
Would be funny if it would really play 32X games though ^^ Complete with region mod, it would actually be a cute collectors item, but not for that price. The cartridge slot seems to have been modified though, it has the round doors, but a rectangular cutout - that's typical for homemade cartridge mods due to the different shape of them.
^ this He says in the description that the Neptune never made it into mass production, so it's fairly honest. Buying a self-made custom console for 1000 Euro though, that's a joke. I think it would go into three digits though if he listed it with a 1€ starting bid. It looks rather nice for a custom job, it's flat and if can really play 32X games it would be an interesting bit of a kit.
It's pretty clear from looking at the auction (I can't read French either) that he's selling a custom modified system. Afterall, the region switch on the side wouldn't be on any real system. I don't think there is anything wrong with this, he just wants entirely too much money for it.
no no NOO, it's neuve sous blister XD He probably put it in one of those sloppy shrinkwrap-machines you can find in any electronic store's backyard.
